  • We need someone to listen to voters-not party leaders

  • When I was 19 I had the unenviable fate, do to life circumstances, of having to negotiate with a union as the son of a very small family business owner. I will never forget their threatening me with physical harm to "teach me how the union works." Unions had their place in history, but certainly not in the government where the corruption is naturally rampant. Dale Schultz sound like a nice man, but what is his point, that an old dying and corrupt system should continue? He had no solution.

  • @ancientsaturns

My dad's a CEO, and I remember being threatened with death by members of his board of directors if I didn't vote along with them. Corporations had their place in history, but certainly not in the government where corruption is naturally rampant.

  • This debate about unions all political not financial. I am a democrat and I like this republican, he genuinely cares for the voters and knows unions help the working class to have a living wage. Businesses left the states to gain higher profits, however the American shoppers have not see a drop in the prices they just have lower pay, if they are lucky enough to have a job.

  • A reasonable Republican. Last of a dying breed.

  • @iburl He's a total jackass.

  • Times like these I wish I had a LOVE button.

  • Unions (people joined together) are the here and now. They are the only voice all working people have. Thank God for unions.

  • @WisIrish Actually, Collective Bargaining is not a "legislative right". There is no "right" about it at all.

  • @katjohnson764 I agree! It is a priviledge extended by the citizens of Wisconsin, and it is their right to take it away if it is being abused. !!

  • Senatorr Schultz is wise to remind us wisconsin has seen deaths during strikes, and that the Walker bill has deeply divided the state. I pray for a leader that can unify the people of wisconsin and bring us together to collectively tackle our budget problems without cowtowing to special interests like Walker- don't forget, the Walker bill also empowers him to sell public utilities to whomever he wants WITHOUT BID. That is also not in the best interest of "budget repair"

  • This is the type of Republican who is supported by the Union members who vote Republican. Gov. Walker has my thanks for waking up many voters who never felt the need to be active. The pocketbook is a very important issue for ALL voters.

  • His comments are more moderate than the headline would suggest, but are very well taken. I appreciate a politician working to build consensus.
