@tallelephant - Thanks for the kind comment. Please see the "Creating A 3D Image" tutorial here on PDtoots. It shows how that picture you mentioned, was made.
@KyleLivingood - Yes. The procedure is the same. You just have more flexibility in PD9, as along with other UI changes, you are now no longer limited to just 1 Master track and 9 PIP tracks. In PD9 there are now 99 Master/PIP hybrid tracks, that are all interchangeable.
PDtoots it has to be said ..your tutorials are not good...they re down right exceptional. Keep up this most excellent and valued work. I thank you whole heartedly.
@Xxlilg1000xX - This is the Key Frames Basics tutorial.
But if you go to the Censor Blur tutorial, at 2:45 to 3:00, it is suggested that you set the blur mask and it's parameters and size at the first key frame, then at the last key frame, before adding the rest of the blur masks. Did you do that? If you follow all the steps exactly as shown in the tutorial, the creating a moving censor blur technique should work perfectly, just as shown in the Censor Blur tutorial.
@PDtoots thanks PDtoots you helped alot but i also want to know on powerdirector 9 on trial version how do i hide the trial version from showing at the top?
PDtoots believes that it's only fair for "any" software maker to embed a watermark or product name, when they allow people to use their product for free during a trial. Though there is a hack for removing it, we don't encourage doing it, nor do we provide the hack. That's not what we do. We just make tutorials that hopefully help PD editors to better understand how to use the features available in their PD.
@punkjewellery Hi there! Thanks for the view & positive feedback. You're on the right track with the baby's head. PiP motion is the way to go. If your cartoon character is doing a bit of complicated movement, you'll need to REALLY work the keyframes! Hope you make some "head way" soon! :)
I kinda got the hang of it,but it seems I don't get an opportunity for a new key frame if it's to close to the previous one. Then i end up with the head slightly away from the body.
@punkjewellery No problem :) I know what you mean. The way PD works with those clunky keyframes makes it difficult sometimes... especially if the PiP duration is more than about 15 seconds.
Try keeping the length to about 10 secs... then reinsert the "head" and continue the PiP motion. You'll get better control with the keyframes.
When I studied learning methods, one of the things I discovered is that the faster you bang info into a brain, the faster it tends to leak out, and the more hooks you can put on the info, the slower it slides off. (Note to self: That was two things, y'eejit). These Toots are very, very good. But they move a bit too fast for me. Help us savour the content with a nicely paced voiceover. Maybe you might do a tut on this subject one day??

(Sometimes it still does, hahaha!)
