@IMMAEDEDDNEDDY Super Mario Bros 2 is a completely different game with mario characters. DK3 is an expansion on the game and watch concept. They took the bug shooting from the GW and added DK as a new element to deal with whom is constantly trying to fall down and crush you and hurls coconuts at your face. SMB2 was just a cut and paste job. Any kid who got that game after playing the original in japan would have probably been pissed.

I think the story goes like this. Mario save Pauline and captures Donkey Kong , then Donkey Kong Jr gets him back and gets away , after that Donkey Kong decides to breaks into Stanley's greenhouse to steel his flowers. If you look on the Donkey Kong wiki Stanley was preferred to as Mario's cousin.

I remember playing this in the arcade as a kid when it first came out in the arcade...I thought it was a different but still pretty good, and didnt deserve all the negative reviews...

@nintendoneil It doesn't. The game has the best controls out of the first 3 and eases the player in. And if you have a turbo pad the game has an even smaller learning curve. This and the first one were what I played the most. The worst has always been jr in my opinion. It's sluggish and requires pixel perfection in spots.

wow, another great episode. thanks norman!! also, it is an interesting combination of the platforming and shooter genres. i also, like how some of your past episodes have contributed to later episodes, ie 1983 crash, donkey kong, etc. i had a funny thought. so apparently back then the space shooters were the rage huh. guess the shooter genre has really changed and is still tops in the gaming industry, only now its the fps. well as always, looking forward to your next episode. have a good day!!
