I had an IPhone, and I backed up my contacts to google. I now have a andorid phone so how do I access those saved old iphone informaiton?

Hey what the fuck why can't I not just sync my contacts and calendar with google sync cos I'm self-employed and can't be loosing all my contacts and calendar on my iPhone. I know I can back up on iTunes but what do I do after that got to wright everything into google or what ???? HELP ME

so this is the same thing as mobileme right? cause right now, I use mobileme for calanders, contacts, and bookmarks on my iphone, and I use gmail for email. Just to verify, If I enabled the calander and contacts under the gamil accont on my iphone, does that mean any chnages I make to my contacts and calander on my iphone will sync with both my Google contacts and G-calander, as well as my ical and addressbook on my mac? cause thats how mobileme works.
