GreatPoobah8 is right, this song was played at president Eisenhower's funeral in 1969.

My grandmother used to play it on the piano and I never heard it again until now!

The beginning sounds a bit like Hail to the chief, don't you agree?

Actually, the song was sung by a choir at Ike's funeral. Even the evil Russians in the audience seemed moved by this beautiful piece.

Okay -- not so strange after all. Call me the dork ;-) Checked with the pianist and it turns out some of those songs were taken off that album. I hadn't realized that, though two or three were tossed in that are not from that album.
