The 657B is a very good scraper but it pales in comparison to Caterpillar's 666B, widely regarded as the best scraper ever made. Sadly, Caterpillar discontinued the 666B in 1979 but a few examples still exist in running condition. Maybe some 666B's will be restored to like-new condition and be displayed in museums or reused in construction sites, mines, quarries, and oil sands around the world.

johnand his pop ralph are strange guys.old ralph wont last too long in cali. i dont think ralph repowered cuz we moved all his stuff to corona and its just sitting!some of his stuff is in new mexico but seems its not enough to keep the old bastard afloat!

The 657Es got the 1,649 cid.Alot of California equipment is repowered becasue of carb.

hi mate what engine have you repowered those 657B'S with.they go a lot better than the original D346 in the front,and no soot.
