underrated, under-appreciated.. sad story man. Del never knew how good he was... Probably one of the best pop singers of all time... unbelievable range and uniqueness.... This version is 10x the song James Taylor performs.

Had my first visit to Little Darlin's in Sept 1992 (just before they tore it down) and the backing band from this vid, Rockin' Robin blasted out a stunning version of Runaway that I got 99% of on tape - will make an effort to convert and post as its worth it!

They were there to enjoy the person on stage. Del Shannon was the one putting on the performance. That's why people go to concerts, to enjoy the music. I don't know of too many people (except for you) who actually care how the people around them are dancing......
