@bradstrains If the ground is level there is no limit.But if the ground is down hill it might not be able to stop 50 cars if the cars don't have breaks.Level ground if should pull 50 cars depending how good they roll. The type of bearings on the cars make it possible.
Ive been watching several of these videos with the locomotives and railcars and wonder what is the powertrain consist of and as far as pulling power are they in scale with the actual locomotives?
@debowh Much lighter than a scale locomotive. They weigh about 1100lbs. They have a hydrolic drive.They have a hyd motor in each truck powered by a 16hp vanguard driving a hyd pump and a 4 way valve to guide the fluid. Mine weighs 850 and spins if you put too much weight. That is a 4 percent grade. On flat ground they will pull anything. Stopping is another thing.
