  • They didn't even get the music right. FAIL.

  • The retarded clouds and repeated sprites always gave me the WTF? equivalent of a kindergartner.

  • Programmer thew in a yellow border. Just to complete the crappiness.

  • I remember playing this game on the amiga and being so disapointed with it. If US gold had put more effort in it could have been an amazing game

  • OMFG. US Gold sucks at programming for the amiga.

  • US Gold = Crap port

  • Yes, US Gold's Out Runs suck.

But this version is better than that ****ing IBMPC version.

  • Port means that it's a conversion from another machine. This Amiga version of Outrun was ported from the Atari ST - so it didn't use the full power of the Amiga.

  • amen to that. Goddamn ST ports gave me a nervous twitch.

  • what is this port shit everones going on about

  • US GOLD butchered almost every Amiga port they ever handled.

    Aweful. Just aweful.

  • This is an Atari ST port, which ran so much better. It still has 'FM' on the reg plate ffs (From ST'FM').

What's with that terrible speech at the start?

  • Get this song at __RINGTONEBRANCH(.)COM__

    cool site

  • The C64 version is infintely better.

  • ...and that's not saying much.

  • Argghhh! Jeez what a cheaply produced cash-in! DAMN YOU US GOLD!!

  • Graphically it doesn't seem bad ... but for fucks sake ... this port is just as terribly slow as the ST one, pretty embarrassing, considering both computers could do decently speeded scrolling with those graphics.

  • Gosh, I LOVED this version as a child. As a 'grown up' I see it was cack.

Although I think the sound track on this version is BETTER than the arcade soundtrack.

    Well, Magical Sound Shower, anyway.

  • cool tunes

  • it looks like peter griffin driving the car

  • What a let down, ST port over, thank god x-box can not port over to PS3 now yeah.

  • wtf is that rubbish while loading only to be followed by an awful conversion thank god for mame

  • Lotus 2 crapped all over this.

  • Well, this does look pretty bad, I had & still have Amiga's, and don't really remember ever playing this on the Amiga back then, but surely I must have along the way? Must've been that crap I didn't remember ha. :D Anyway, I only remember playing the C64 version way back then, and still own that and the others such as Outrun Europa etc. There were farrrr better racing games for the Amiga such as the Lotus trilogy, And Jaguar XJ220, loved them :D

  • Haha... I remember getting this for my A1200, all that loaded was the intro. WTF was that music all about on the title screen!?!? I remember thinking I had bought some sort of cracked version or something.

  • Such a pathetic port! I was incredibly disappointed the first time I played this garbage.

  • Pitiful, but the chip music is good.

  • YES! Thank you for bringing this one back! I always loved the music that accompanied the title screen! Like some sort of epic drama when it's just a videogame about racing! :-D. Kickass.
