I'd be willing to wait a little longer than normal as long as I, and everyone around me, could actually afford to see a doctor, or get a surgery.

I passed out in the cold while walking to school, a couple of years ago, and woke up on the side of the road. My school called the ambulance, and suggested I go to the hospital. Even though I rejected the ambulance, they charged us $100+.Wtf? And I had to get a brain scan and a ultra-sound on my heart, which cost us $1,000+, and that's WITH insurance.

I think we are spending to much time and money on solutions that don't fix the underlying problems. The problem isn't that people can get health INSURANCE, the problem is that health CARE has gone beyond being affordable. If a CT Scan didn't cost $2,000 then maybe people would be more apt to pay out of pocket. The words corporate and hospital should not ever be used in conjunction with one another.
