  • I'd rather just not bother with the religion at all. Not even with Jesus, thanks (especially considering the shit he said around Matthew 10:34). I'll make up my own mind about what is right and wrong. I love gay people, and I'm an atheist. Free your minds, people.

    Jesus constantly quoted the Old Testament as Scripture. His words didn't negate the Law. They fulfilled them. It's true that Jesus taught love. But as Christians we can love all people, including homosexuals, without condoning their lifestyle. Just because a lot of Christians don't know how to do that doesn't take away from the truth of scripture.

  • yeah, I support gay rights, but this video is irrelevant if they wanted to go the Jesus route. In my opinion they failed miserably. Bring up passages like love thy neighbor (which they did) and judge not or you shall be judged. But bringing up "blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy" and "blessed are the pure in heard for they shall see god" is irrelevant. Bring up how almost no christian follows old testament laws and Jesus said nothing about gays, that makes more sense to me.

  • I'm a proud catholic ,one thing thats not very talked about openly in my religion is that the church does accept gays and lesbians its the action of having sex before mariage but anywho all I know in my heart is that God loves everyone even the dumb ones because he created us all Genisis :God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. that includes ALLl of us also those who dont know about gays and lesbians.. educate yourself ignorance= hate but GOD= LOVE SPREAD LOVE NOT HATE

Im a straight man and i know that God made gay people as well. people all just want to say, "well you know the BIBLE says" well there is so much sins in the the book of leviticus. you CANT eat shrimp, you cant touch anything unclean. you cant wear POLYESTER because its a sin

  • I love this scene. It shows something that unfortunately does happen. Nobody should be persecuted for being who they are. Whether it is race religion or sexual orientation. God loves everyone for who they are. He will not be angry if you are being yourself and that is that. No one can argue with that. "Jesus loves me yes I know for the bible tells me so" applies to every single person who has and will walked this Earth. No one can deny this.

  • quit using jesus as an excuse to be gay. i wouldnt turn my back on my kid i would love my child even more but what they have to understand is that knowing your child is heading torward hell isn't an easy thing to swallow. yes jesus loves you and is the only one who can save but he even said if you love him you will turn away from your wicked way. nobody is perfect and we all slip up but if you love jesus you will turn from homosexuality

  • @joecookDE that's great that you wouldn't turn your back on your child because unfortunately, a lot of people do so i commend you for that. i'm not so sure though that i would say they are heading for hell. a sin is a sin is a sin. the bible does mention homosexuality as an abomination.. but so is spitting in public. an abomination is just something that is disgusting and hated. love is love no matter who it's with.

  • @qsettle your right the homosexuality is a sin. abomination is a sin that leads to death not just hated and frowned upon. remember sinners dont make it into heaven. its through jesus that we are made righteous and are called saints. we shouldn't do something that god doesn't permit just because he gives us grace and mercy. Jesus said if you love me you will turn from it.

  • @joecookDE children need slaughtered. if we still lived by the old testament then we would still need to offer up burnt offerings. when Jesus came into the world he said "for behold, i make all things new". Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life.." it doesn't take a perfect person to get to heaven. nor do you have to follow all the "rules". people get so caught up on the "religion" aspect when the God that i serve is all about a relationship, not a religion. it's between me and God.

  • @joecookDE the bible says that man can't decide who will or won't get into heaven. it's between God and the individual. if God is telling you in your heart that you should turn from that lifestyle (or anything in general) then that's what you need to do. when you get saved and you take that step in faith, you're gonna know where you're going. God won't leave you wondering if you're going to heaven or hell. you're gonna know. it's about what's in your heart.

Nobody but God has any right to judge another human being by their sins. Just love as He does. <3

  • What I don't understand (and more importantly don't appreciate) is that homosexual acts are viewed as more egregious than say...lying. Both are sins, yet most Christians believe that being homosexual is a one way ticket to hell...which is of course a load of nonsense. I think the point of this video is clear....salvation in Jesus Christ is what determines whether you go to heaven or hell, not the sins you commit....no matter how taboo they might be. And for the record, I happen to be Christian.

  • Jesus said marriage is ordained by God to be between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:21-24; Matthew 19:4-6). Sexual intercourse outside of marriage is Fornication which is a sin. No need to judge because the bible already judges you.

But another important element of that, is to not judge impassively (as you have) as well. Fornicators are sinners, those who engage in homosexual acts are sinners, and you are a sinner just like them and just like me. Don't forget.

Many GLBT people struggle with their orientation because of how some religious views push hard that if you validate your sexual identity as GLBT, then you can't validate your spiritual identity. It should never have had to be an ultimatum in the first place. Thank you so much for your words of compassion.
