No, she's not trying to be "stuck up" -- she's emphasizing her elocution so that people like Letterman won't start saying "Could you repeat that?" or something. Too many Americans can't understand non-American accents for some reason, so I guess she was trying to prevent that from getting in the way of what she wanted to say.
Indians learn the British form of English, not the American version. Britain colonized Indian for a long time. That's where her English accent is coming from. There are various forms of English accents globally, not just American.
Why search for her on YouTube if you don't like her? Other than to troll and bug those that do of course! And how can you say she's fake? I think she's amazing and I hope she carries on blessing our screens. She is born in Karnataka and yet never ever responded to the causes of Karnataka or Kannada at national/international levels. Most Kannadigas possess this attitude in their blood and DNA(hard to change). She did not even act in Kannada movies to show some respect to her Mother/Sister tongue. The sad thing is that she is extreamly pretty, but her bad attitute, and arrogant behaviour 2wards people is so off putting, where else abhishek is so down to earth its unbelievable. Amitabhs eldest daughter is least mentioned by amitabh, jaya or even aishwarya but abhishek always praises her and adores his neice and nephew. No, she's not trying to be "stuck up" -- she's emphasizing her elocution so that people like Letterman won't start saying "Could you repeat that?" or something. Too many Americans can't understand non-American accents for some reason, so I guess she was trying to prevent that from getting in the way of what she wanted to say.
