But after I watched this again, I believe both of them are at fault.
First, Wooyoung should not have publicized such vague and private matters that aren't even figured out correctly. I wish he would have been more thoughtful about how his HOTTESTS would bash/criticize IU, even though they're not 100% sure about anything.
my opinion is that he was just trying to joke around (as well as the "if you pay when i go to the batroom you will be cool" thing) but everyone took it the wrong way, of course if i was IU i would be upset, wooyoung should've been a little bit more carefull on what he said on TV! WY then said that high schoolers don't use those kind of expressions (because he was acting as a high schooler in Dream High). And the scene they were filming was a hopeful, meaningful scene, so WY didn't want it to become comical. He suggested that they change the script into a more informal tone. He asked IU if she's ok w/ that. She said that she's not feeling well. WY basically...
..interpreted that as a way of saying "Make me laugh." On the other hand, WY didn't want to portray Jason that way. But all the staff were guys and IU fans at that. So even the camera director told WY to just do the scene (& keep the script as it is). In the end, WY said his line in the originally written (slightly comical) way.

@MsManless: About the bill-incident (you should watch the show yourself, some words here to help you out with a relief, you seems so serious and care much about IU): Woo took her to restaurant for dinner blahblah then she suggested a treat on return, they finally ended up in a expensive one, IU joked about the bill, Woo took the joke for truth, finally Woo and his manager split but IU still thought that Woo paid all. IU then texted Woo several sms to explain...

what is with the description? It's just that IU is famous in the male idols world. There are clips on Dream High Special Concert interview when IU talks about the dining out openly (sometimes she seems too honest).

I think everyone is making too much of a big deal about this. To me, it sounds like they were both awkward and shy. I really don't see how both IU or Wooyoung look bad about this. I think the little comments from the other people around was really the questionable stuff. People might think that IU was being too cold but I think its more her shyness. IU seems pretty unaffected by this - her schedule has been just as busy lately, full of CF appearances, concerts, fanmeets, etc. I can understand some 2PM/Wooyoung exaggerating the situation, but has it actually made an impact? I remember how antis attacked her minihompy when she performed with Yoseob back in 2010 (fangirls can be ridiculous -_-) but that didn't affect her popularity when she released "Nagging" later that year.

I'm sure there were already Hottests unhappy with the WooU loveline in Dream High (if the Nichkhun/Victoria WGM backlash was any indication). I'm just surprised that IU fans also cared so much, as IU said in the recent Daum interview that explosive interest for WooU probably came more from his fans because she didn't think her fans cared much about it. WooYoung's script came out weird. It was written as a formal/old people-ish way of talking. WY then said that high schoolers don't use those kind of expressions (because he was acting as a high schooler in Dream High). And the scene they were filming was a hopeful, meaningful scene, so WY didn't want it to become comical. He suggested that they change the script into a more informal tone. He asked IU if she's ok w/ that. She said that she's not feeling well. WY basically...

So even the camera director told WY to just do the scene (& keep the script as it is). In the end, WY said his line in the originally written (slightly comical) way.

He treated her two meals to get closer to her so that they could be easier to work together. remember those two meals were before they got closed. if he really like her more than friend why he didn't invite her another meals after and he wouldn't tell the story that make her a bad image.
