When you get firewood, does it come from off in the mountains? Today we cut and split a Red Oak from up on our mountain above the house. I say we. My Son fell the tree, and cut it into firewood lengths, and I,,, I say I, split it with with just one hand! One hand, on the hydraulic log splitter handle. ;o} The tree used, was killed by lightening, there's one next to it that also has dead limbs both are big 100+ years, we do buy firewood also, to save our trees for hard times, and fall colors.
