thank you so much for this vid! i was having trouble deciding which electric shaver to get and this one suits me the best. just a question, ive been shaving with a razor blade, and with the razor blade, you should always shave with the grain (shave in the direction where the hair grows). does the same procedure apply with the electric shaver?
I think you mean replacement blades... If you order through my site you are re-directed to Amazon.com where I find most of the prices to be the best. There you can find replacements blades to many of the top selling shavers.
The amount of pressure you need to apply will generally relate to how thick your facial hair is. The thicker it is, the more pressure you may need to apply. Usually you should let the shaver do the work, and I found the Panasonic ES LA93 K to work really well. It is quite a powerful shaver. If you go over certain areas a few times you might get a warm sensation, but it shouldn't be a problem.
@ElectricShaverGuide i have seen some people on the forum said series7 had a large Vibration when used it and Beard flying out of the head Storage when used it??does it true?
after used series 7 and LA93,do you see any red on your neck or face??
and How much time can be shortened if used LA93 caompared to series7??
When you get used to each shaver, you shouldn't experience any irritation. Shaving time is very similar between the two models. I haven't noticed any stubble "flying out" of the shaver when it's being used.
hi,excuse me,i have read your review about shaving experience
"If you spend an extra minute going over certain areas a few times you can get a super smooth shave. Even running your fingers AGAINST the grain is smooth. Like with all shavers, if you're not used to this it may cause a little bit of irritation, but within a few tries you should be fine. "
i don't know what you mean,is that mean shave in the same area few times will irritate the skin??is that cause red or acnes??
I would assume it's better, but I haven't tested it out yet. Right it's just too expensive I think. Considering you can get the ES LA93 K for about half the price, it's probably not the best choice for most ppl. Eventually I hope to review it though.
I was waiting for this shaver review to make the final purchase decision.
Tyler, I have 2 questions:
1. Wich one gives best shave result Wet or Dry?
2. In comparison with Braun 790cc which one would you recommend and why? Is there a shave quality difference between the Braun 790cc and Panasonic ESLA 93 K?
Hey there. For # 1, there isn't a clear winner. You can get a very close shave using it wet or dry. I would say the final product is the same, however getting there is a little more comfortable using it wet. But there's a trade off to that because it takes longer and requires a bit of prep.
For # 2, the final closeness is also basically the same, but the Braun 790cc seems to work a bit better. It shaves with less effort and less risk of irritation than any other shaver, IMO.
Tyler, Could you make side by side comparison of the panasonic ESLA 93 K with Braun 790cc? Just like you did with Braun 790cc and the Panasonic ES8249.
I am thinking about getting my dad a electric shaver for xmas and I am debating on getting this or the Braun 7-790CC. Which one do you recommend? My dad likes to use shave gel when he shaves
If you think your dad wants to continue using gel with an electric shaver then go with this Panasonic ES LA93 K. This is a wet shaver, where the Braun Series 7-790cc is not designed to use wet. In terms of dry shaves, I think the Braun is a bit better, but if your dad wants to use the shaver wet, you should get the Panasonic.

The process is different. You want to shave against the grain. Watch my "how to use an electric shaver" video for more details on this.

I plan on doing this exact comparison, but I'll be away for the next little while so I won't be able to do it until the new year. Sorry about that.
PS. Some of your comments seem to get flagged as spam, not sure why, but thought I would let you know.
