  • And what information did you research... No Khans? no Saladin? and no desert fox? i mean come on...

  • What about Leonidas, Atila the Hun, Oliver Cromwell, Saladin, Doug MacArthur, Robert Lee, Erwin Rommel, El Cid, Lawrence of Arabia, Ho Chi Minh?

  • First of all, who even makes this music? Let alone that you use it in a video.

I think you can't make a top 10 of the best military leaders, depends on which tactics you like and whch party you (would have) supported. Some are really missing though: Bernard Montgomery? Paul von Hindenburg & Erich Ludendorff? Genghis Khan? And indeed, Hitler? (purely based on military succes!)

  • You forgot many more great military leaders like Hitler who at his peak domintated most of europe, also atilla the hun who must have been the one and lony leader to capture the most amount of land in asia and europe.

  • Alexander the Great,Cesar,King Leonidas and so on... theese were commanders, not needing ranged weapons to kill, but facetoface battles not like todays cowards....

  • Teddy Rosevelt, Rommel, Atilla the hun.

  • Hannibal, Saladin, Khaled ibn-Al Walid, Altair ibn-La Ahad...

  • Stonewall Jackson above, Nelson; a man who helped create 100 years of uncontested sea power!

Good to see Napoleon managed to scrape in above Patton!

  • Rommel ? Soldier's soldier. Could include Churchill...

  • Poor choices in this video apart from Hannibal and Napoleon.

Ghengis Khan and Nelson should have been up there too as well as Wellington and Shaka Zulu.

  • hahahahhaha the greatest millitary leaders in history was turkisch sultans like sultan süleyman or mehmed fatih II the türkisch cengiz han (dschingiskhan too )

  • WHERE IS CHINGIS KHAN OF THE MONGOLIAN EMPIRE THAT CONQURED THE BIGGEST LAND MASS IN WORLD HISTORY???

  • ok for starters why isnt frederick the great on the list? being the king of a small kingdom, defeating saxony, forcing sweden and france to a truce, holding up against russia, and ultimately getting austria hungary to surrender is an incredible feat. the 7 years war is by many considered as the original first world war.

and more importantly where are the khans??!!

gustavus adolphus the king of sweden could have been a good candidate as well, or Saladin the great

  • Hey everyone! this is my old channel. i can not access it anymore but please subscribe to this new channel!! thank you! :D

  • Stupid List

    No Genghis Khan

    Napoleon !! under Lionheart

    No Rommel

    Saladin

  • @EpicNostra I agree with Saladin and Genghis but Rommel was ultimately defeated in North Africa and Europe.

Also any list should include Tamerlane without a doubt.

  • omfg, Mao is the greatest warleader....-_- stonewall, who is this??? Where is Alexander Suvoroff, i think he is the greatest general...

  • Whats the name of the Band please????????

  • what about hitler, he got the farthest with his plans, and his army had mg42 and mp40, the best weapons in europe during the 1940's

  • khalid bn waleed!!!

  • No Stepan Dusan ,or Peter the Great?

  • Field Marshall Haig!

  • this is not right it is like

    1.Mao zedong

    2.napoleon

    3.hannibal

    4.julius caesar

  • category: Humor, nuf said.

  • @polotime100 that doesnt say much about the general, actually it only makes him sound better that he was a ble to conquer as much as he was

  • dumb song

  • why the heck, every under standard idiot, puts the hecking rok and roll o whatever is thos tihis nauseating noise, when describing important matters?

  • Ghengiz khan ? Hitler ? Saladin ? FUCK YOU BOY

  • Rommel was noob

  • Hitler?

    Süleiman the Magnificent?

    Ghengiz Khan?

  • Friedrich der Große?

    Rommel?

    Hitler? von Manstein?

    Saladin?

  • @savasz32 Hitler was a very, very poor military leader, an amateur. His judgement skills and his knowledge of strategy were abysmal, the supposed military genius of Hitler a myth. The best strategical insights he could give were absolute jokes like "Just attack", "forces on field doesn't matter, it's all about the stronger will".

  • Arthur Welsey?

  • what about george washington

  • hitler?

  • where is khalid bin walid? he defeated the roman empire on one n persian empire on other side at the same time.

  • Sun Tzu?

  • it's all false

  • @sheemsheem You say fuck turks. I know why.. Our grandfathers killed yours right :) TURKS are great nation. Nobody can deny it.

  • And then there's always Sun Tzu

  • I'm personally a big fan of Toussaint L'Ouverture, a slave who was intelligent enough to lead an army of slaves to victory over the British, Spanish and French army and make Haiti the 1st independent black country.

  • bla bla bla stop asking where is my leader and make your own list and upload it..

  • @polotime100 Yeah but he still won.

  • I think this is a great choice :)

  • George Washington...8 years in the saddle.

  • WTF is this music? techno death metal?

  • nelson wasnt a military leader m8, he was a just an admiral

  • @sjonnie312 military= use of force to achieve our means,he was in the military,in the marine,

  • @sjonnie312 admiral is a leading position

  • @sjonnie312 Are you trying to say that the navy is not part of a nations military? lol

  • There is only leaders which are teached in Europe, where is Gengis khan, Atila, Sultan Mehmed the conquerer, Sultan Suleiman, Salahaddin Eyyubi, Hayreddin Barbarossa(red beard), Amir Timur....

  • @FernandoShafie Yeah where that's just like your opinion dude

  • @ilvonful are you being sarcastic?:)

  • @FernandoShafie Naaaaw

  • @FernandoShafie

I totally agree, Fredrich the great and Gustav Adolf absolutely need a place it that countdown. With Hannibal those were the inspirational figures of Napoleon

  • @Pabianice0Hooligan Chyba raczej Rozwadowski. Piłsudzki tchórz uciekł bo nie wierzył i wrócił dopiero jak to sam napisał "Gdy nad wieprzem cichły już działa..."

  • Richard the 1st? Saladin was better than him and he doesn't even belong on this list.

  • @turnagainoutlaw

Saladin wasn't as good as you think , Richard I was way better than Saladin the Battle of Arsuf shows it .

  • VIVE NAPOLEON ! VIVE LA FRANCE ! THE MUSIC KILLING THE DOCUMENTARY

  • 1.Temujin

    2. Napoleon

    3. Alexander

    4. Hannibal

    5. Caesar

    6. Timur

    7. Alexander Suvorov

    8. Rommel

    9. Nelson

    10. Frederick the Great

  • Napoleon was defeated but Genghis Khan was undefeatable!

  • @mbdogan88

Napoleon may have been defeated but Napoleon revolutionized the warfare , even today his tactics are still studied , what about Genghis Khan ? Napoleon fought Europe with a France weakened by the Revolution and guess what ? 10 years later he defeated the whole europe and his " superpowers states " Prussia , Austria , Spain , Russia , Britain , he did a thing that no one before him did , he conquered the whole europe , even the mongols failed , they never went after Poland .

  • @NasriTheNewKing Gengish Khan conquered the whole Asia, is it great enough for you? If Gengish Khan wanted to conquer, he was able to do this. But he didn't go himself, his sons continued the campaign. If he would go to Europe himself, who could to stop him? You don't have any idea about warfare. Do you know the word 'anachronism'? You cannot compare medieval armies to modern armies with firearms. Also I couldn't see Saladin, Attila, Alp Arslan(Manzikert Victory), Mehmet the Conqueror etc. there

  • @mbdogan88

I think the one that don't know what is talking about is you , do you have any idea how Europe was during the 12th century ? Genghis khan would have seen his ass kiicked by the French , English or Germans , do you ever heard about the longbows ? or the French gendarmes ( the most devastating cavalry in history ) ? Plus Genghis khan would have meet , Richard I , Phillipe augustus and the Holy emperor Barbarossa , he would have ended just like Attila .

  • @mbdogan88

Your right we can't compare swords with rifles , but i was pointing out what he has done with a bankrupted country , weakened by the revolution , demoralized , and how he won his battles such as Austerlitz ( one of the greatest victory in the world ) , did you read how he has beaten the most professional army of the time with a poorly equiped , demoralized and outnumbered army ? Tell me how many guy could do that -->

  • @NasriTheNewKing

    Transforming a desperate situation into a conquest ( Italy ) ?

  • Comment removed

  • @mbdogan88 He was defeated actually by the Jin and Tartar tribes in 1161 and the Mongol Empire as a whole was defeated also by the Bulgars and their failed invasion of Japan.

  • Plus Genghis Khan's Empire covered 24,000,000 km2. Plus it lasted for centuries, compared to alexanders empire which laster about what till he died? haha

  • this is bullshit! Where is Genghis Khan? In fact he is suppose to be number 1 in this list. Alexander the great's empire is only 20% percent of Mongolian Empire's territory. Genghis Khan created an empire that conquered 2/3 of the World. it conquered all Asia (China, Korea, Central Asia, Middle East, Russia, Southern Asia) and almost half of Europe! it is shame that you dont have Genghis Khan in this list!

  • @erkhemsaikhan I'm sorry but most of the Mongol Empire didn't belong to Genghis Khan, it was his sons that did most of the expansion. Alexander expanded his empire all the way to its furthest extent, making it all his. Also he was undefeated in battle, Khan was not, and conquered most of the known world at the age of only 32. He also did all this conquering with an army of only 40-50,000 infantry and 6-8,000 cavalry. Had he lived longer he would have also conquered the West.

  • @sparghast part of being a great commander is haveing good generals, so that his sons and other trusted generals won a lot of the empire isnt much of a downside

  • where is salah din alayoubi who defeated richard,...

  • zhukov had Greek origins..........

  • @HellenicMarine Are you serious?! i also have Greek heritage. That would be another reason for Greek pride on top of all the others hahaha. Damn he was a great general. But how does he have Greek blood? His name sounds Russian.

  • Comment removed

  • @sparghast alexander is ancient greek name

  • @Brakoulis Yes i know Alexander is Greek I have never denied it as i too have Greek blood. He will always be the greatest general in history.

  • @sparghast relax dude

  • @sparghast Oh you are talking about Zhukov.....i know his name is russian !!! But he has Greek origins !!! His daughter said that her father had said many times that they are from Greece and was always wondering from which greek city-state they are coming from !!!

  • @HellenicMarine Fascinating!!! I always thought he was a great general. GREEK PRIDE!!!

  • this list is complete bullshit . If this person knew anything about military history . He would have included John Churchill , the First Duke of Marlborough (1650-1722) King Gustavus Adolphous of Sweden , Erwin Rommel , Atilla the Hun , Tamerlane , Saladin , Sebastien de Vauban , Prince Eugene of Savoy , Sir Thomas Fairfax and Oliver Cromwell ,

  • @mothermetal523 atilla the hun was great general and invented the "ambush"but was not oe of the biggest generals come on...Churchill???ok nice in his country but in global scale, come on!!!

  • Horrible music

  • genghis khan is first ;/ wrong information

  • @pearlsvd well wouldnt genghis, napoleon and alexander all be tied?

  • @solutionx2009 That story is not true... It is made up, the Spartans never lead 300 of their men against a Persian army

  • military leaders we said........Leonidas !!!!!!!!!!!! leaded 300 spartans against whole persian army

  • agree apart from the last bit ceaser should be first alexander 2nd

  • Where is CAROLUS MAGNUS or KING CHARLEMAGNE? He should be number 2.

  • Mao? Zhukov? OMG... Mao is political leader, Zhukov - sorry, more soldiers, nothing else ( Shaposhnikov better)

  • only the morons forget the truth.."who cares for turkish leaders?" so you dont care about the pain in your butt too, dont go for drugs boy,jus feel the truth

  • Duke of Wellington and Nelson kick Napoleons arse, the WW2 american should be replaced with Monty Hanibal was an idiot, he lost most of his elephants to snow, Richard put England into dept making John a hated king should be Saladin he stopped the invasion countless times, where is Leonidas, Xerxes, Gengas Khan, Willian Wallice, Canute, Winston Churcil, Douglas Haig and Rommel get rid of the americans who did nothing and add a few of those.

  • @TheScathos battle of cannae, try search it mayb ull learn something

  • and on top of all the other comments, change the bloody soundtrack, the music is terrible!!!

  • fuck your list idiot... you must some research..

    Look at the Turkish leaders..

    Suleiman the Magnificent

    Mehmed II

    Selim I

    ATATURK

  • @GokhanTurkey06 Who cares for turkish leaders lol

  • @GokhanTurkey06 the only one who cares about Ottoman leaders are brainwashed Turks. The only one off this list that should be there is the Mongol Ghengis Khan.....Ottomans are just a cheap copy of Mongols

  • @good2goskee Yes, why ISN'T Genghis Khan on this list? Genghis should be at the top... His empire when he died was twice that of Alexander's, and it was the Mongol conquest and expansion that opened the way for the trade between Europe and East Asia that spurred the Renaissance and Europe's age of Exploration.

  • @DSDunlap72 Agreed (sort of .....) the part re. the Renassaince is a little lofty. There had been trade and underdstanding of Oriental wealth b4 GK. The Renassaince is a very complicated time.... involving many factors

  • Attilla the hun who lost once cuz he ran out of food is where? + the russians lost just as many as the germans did from the entire war.

  • NUMBER ONE(1):FATİH SULTAN MEHMET HAN OTTOMAN EMPİRE PADİSHAH DEVLET-İ ALİYYE-İ OSMANİYE,..SİNCE 1453

  • @GNCSNN OOoooH wow. Memet I beat 8k Byzantines clinging to a crumbling empire wtih his army of 100k Ottomans...really powerful leader

  • for funny..don't give me a bad comment

  • Where is Vo Nguyen Giap..you forgot him..search google

  • Mao souldnt be on this list. instead of him, you could take a pick of the following: Gengis Khan (Mongol), Kublai Khan (Mongol/Yuan Dynasty Chinese), Tamerlane (Timurids) Akbar the great (Muhgal), Rommel and Guderian (Nazi Germans), Monty (England), Saladin (Egyptians/Turk), Canute the Great (Danish viking), and a hell of a lot of other romans the julius cesar

  • @aretherenousernames1 na i would put the duke of willington as number 1 his victorys and his tactics were amazing.

  • @GreyKnight665 it is true that he was an amazing general, but try look a tsubodai, and see what his win/loss ratio of battles is

  • @aretherenousernames1 I searched tsuboai, and from what I could gather he was a master siege warfare thats why he won so many battles because he had new and great tactics when it came to siege.

But wellington also revolutionised warfare, he was famous for changing the game, In his period of time he would of held his army back and not be seen so the enemy did'nt the numbers, what type of troops, how many cannons and so on. But what made even great was having an army....

  • @aretherenousernames1 with mixed national races, and still make them fight together as one with no infighting or countermanding orders, that was unheard of them times.

So with me when it came to a pitched open battle and even battle and also managing a nation wellington was the best of all.

  • Lawl at Napoleon being number 5. He should be at least number 2. Returning to France from exile, he raised up an army of 200,000, and when confronted by Louis XVI's army, he walked out in front of them alone, said "If any of you wish to shoot your emperor, do so now." None of them shot, and they joined him as well. If he hadn't screwed up by stretching his army too thin, his influence could have gotten him all of Europe eventually.

  • what the fuck is up with this music ?

  • Zhukov on 8 place. LoL!!! Zhukov defeated fascism. Do you heard about Suvorov (father of the soldiers)? He in no way inferior to Hannibal and won all his (Suvorov's) battles. Fuck this video. Autor is dickhead.

    MMMMAAAAOOOO???!!!!!!!!!!! aaaaaahhhaahhaaaaahhaahhhaaaaa

  • Thses are all leaders of past two centuries, if you back 5 millenums theire were much better and genius military leades i.e. Alexander The Great, Genghis Khan, Khalid Ibn Al Walid, Richard Lion Heart, Saladin . . . . . .

  • Such horrible music.

  • cowboy ..LEARN HISTORY !!!!!

  • lol, your list is not based on facts, but on your personal opinion.

if you said so at the start, then i wouldnt have placed this comment.

i got some things you must consider:

Julius Ceasar was NOT a military genius, he revered himself as one, BUT he was the first general to write down his tactics and accomplisments.

and, where are Rommel, Gudarian, von Manstein, Mcarthur, Jamasita, Nagumo and Montcomery? these commanders are better than Mao or Nelson, and Gudarian is better then Patton...

  • You forgot RATKO MLADIC !!!

  • @dracoola6 I think Hitler and mussolini would just pip Ratko Mladic for 1st spot i the dictators league.

  • ALEXANDER THE GREAT ON TOP BUT YOU FORGET GENKIS GHAN

  • а где СУВОРОВ??? он ни одной битвы не проиграл!!!

  • Thumbs down on the music alone.

    .

  • The music is awfull!

  • hm, what about Arminius, Attila the Hun, Dschingis Khan, Friedrich Barbarossa, Friedrich I of Prussia, Oda Nobunaga? Erwin Rommel was definately better than Patton. Even Churchill and de Gaule were better than Patton. Who is this Stonewall Jackson, I thought best American military leader was George Washington. You forgot a lot of great leaders. And Nelson was not as good as he is considered.

  • patton, jackson,mao = Napoleon, Zhukov, Nelson, Caesar? Cha-cha

  • NAPOLEON IS NUMBER ONE!

Richard, Hannibal, Julius and Alexander would get OWNED by him!

  • @MultiMusicMeister ya ok im pretty sure napoleon would get raped by alexander not only did alexander own more land then napoleon but he was able to keep it until he died

  • it's not top 10military leaders

it's top 10 famouse military leaders

P.s. Mao wasn't so good military leader. In history of china U can find realy betters leaders

P.S.2 the same is with zhukov. e.g.: Kutuzow was realy better in his epoc

  • THE ONLY THINK I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IS THAT ALEXANDER IS NOT FROM THE GREEK PART OF MACEDONIA.you stupid kids..he took part in ancient olympics only a greek could take part in olympics, his favourite book was Illiada, and his "teacher" was Aristotle...stupid guys..god,and you that u are talking about turkey, greece when u conquered it it was a part of the byzantine empire..we didn't have our own army!I 'm proud that i'm greek and nothing can change it..and i am most proud that i am macedonian!!

  • spell check.... it also seems you left out Wellington, Frederick the Great, Gustav of Sweden, Tilly, Wallenstein, Attila the Hun, Dschinghis Khan

  • @psychocookie89 Lol learn ur History than come back, u say it urself ''He defeated the forces sent bij the allied'' and if u know history the allies were Russia, British Empire(which contains India, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Wales and many more), Greece, France, Italy, Armenia and the Saudi Arabs.

and btw @nrwtube1 thnx for correcting it i made a small mistake because i was writing the countries much to fast, but u gotta think of this all those countries against what now is Turkey...

  • @KonyaliSelim14 why you say british empire ? at the time you should say russian empire and french empire.

    no ?

  • @espana00091 It is british empire...

  • @KonyaliSelim14 it's just a practice, if wikipedia existed in 1909 it would show russian empire when you search for russia...

  • alexander speaking ancient turk language.alexander come from turkland in middle asia

  • @Bolvadinlee Fuck off Turk don't make me laugh.

  • Jozef Pilłsudski???

Stopped the SU invasion at Warsaw.

  • [...Macedonian Greeks have ancient roots in Macedonia and many identify as descendants of the Greeks who lived in the Ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia; they self-identify culturally and regionally as "Macedonians" They form the majority of the region's population.and, today, they live almost entirely in Greek Macedonia...]

    -wikipedia

"Ethnic Macedonians SELF-IDENTIFY as "Macedonians" in an ethnic sence as well as in the regional sense. [...] Because of their primarily Slavic origin[...]"

  • alexander is king of macedonia not greece

  • @Bolvadinlee 1. alexander is a greek name, 2. alexander the great was greek , he was speaking ancient greek. 3. makedonia is a greek word, it comes from "makedonas" these where ancient greeks. 4.the language spoken in FYROM did not existed in ancient makedonia, only ancient greek did.5. Makedonia was nothing more then a greek/byzantine state.

    6.go open a history book

  • My list (wothouth order): Julius Cesar, Napoleon, Genhis Khan, Hitler, Alexander, Zhukov, Bolivar, Saladino, Richard the Lionheart, Sun Tsu.

  • @Carloskpop ahh julius cesar and napoleons empire together was nothing compared to genghis khans so probably genghis khan should be 1

  • The music is hirrible

  • Napoleon said I can not be fatih sultan mehmet's apprentice .Where is he? He conquered Constantınapole he started a new age.Where is Selahaddin Eyyubi Who Conquered Jerusalem.I can count a lot of leader like them. And These leaders fouht with honor.Selahaddin did't kill civilans like the ''lionhearted '' richard done
