I don't have much time to spend on this, but in 5 minutes I found a Eucalyptus Dr in San Francisco (but it taps out at 1799).
While I fully admit I haven't used Google Maps much (and am by no means an expert). It appears to me that GM has a bit of selective amnesia.
Intriquing question though, and your origninal comment has made me curious about GM's abilities. So hopefully, I'll have a chance to explore the issue this weekend. - Thanks for bringing it up!

For the record (google maps is your friend) there is only one 1825 Eucalyptus Dr in the whole united states. It's in the San Diego area.
Sadly, the nearest "Oak St" is 17 miles away. Fake.

However, no 1825 Eucalyptus Dr.'s (as yet) - In any case, your central point is probably valid. The call is probably fake.

1825 eucalyptus drive is also in El Segundo CA and Oak Avnue is about a streets away. Mariposa ave. is closer though
