I didn't get this for awhile either. but the rhythm guitar you think you can hear with wah wah is actually the bass. at about 3:10 you can really see eugene working the wah.

No third guitar. Greg has multiple delays and a looper. Eugene plays with a whammy pedal as well. that's how the chrous line is a mix between guitar and bass registers.

@astricii That is exactly what gives there music at least in part their decidedly psychedelic sound. Eugene's voice adds to this perfectly. They sort of put me in mind of My Bloody Valentine meets Sonic Youth.

Great song, but I really think it's more of a studio-only kinda thing. It always seems to be missing something during all the live performances, and even the demo.
