Froch is way too slow and has no technique thats why Ward handled him so easily, however Bute will not come along as peacefully and its the fight that must take place in order to determine super middleweight supremacy.

@oasis4ever92 What exactly makes Froch world class? He lost to Kessler and now he has lost teriibly to Ward. If Joe Calzaghe were to un-retire he would be the heavy favorite....Sorry but I was ringside for this fight in New Jersey and in my estimation, Froch is not even a 2nd rate fighter, more like a slow 3rd rate tier banger. Froch should have abandoned the jab in round two and worked hard to lead with the power uppercuts while backing up - because Ward had him backing up all night long.

Look at what happens to Froch and the rest of the people you mention when they fight elite fighters like Ward Dirrell, and Bute.

@oasis4ever92 Don't get me wrong, I respect boxers altogether because of their courage and heart. They fight for a living so I tip my hat off to them every chance I get. I just don't buy into the hype. I judge fighters by their abilities more than I do their resumes. Carl Froch is a decent fighter who was given an excellent opportunity and a little more. Did he belong on the top stage with the likes of Ward and Dirrell? Obviously Not. But I certainly applaud his effort. Who is Brian Magee?

@anyfekinnamewilldo He got to the final by the robbery of Andre Dirrell and Dirrell dropping out of the tournament. Had Dirrell decided to stay in the tournament he and Froch would've met up a second time in Flint Michigan, where Froch would not be the home favorite. No offense, but judging from the outcome of the final, it's obvious he isn't an "elite" in the sport. Young and developing Dirrell and Ward were able to expose his weak boxing abilities.

Had he been KO'd in the 1st round then yes u can say he doesn't belong at this level..but a 12 round close decision is obviously not a mismatch. Have some respect for the fighters man! Froch made the Super 6 tournament, has been involved in the most enthralling fights, had like 6-7 world level fights on the bounce and has won most of them so how u as a boxing fan can disrespect the guy is beyond me.

i got a fight next Saturday against a bruiser that's exactly what i am going to do to him.. i am going to wrap my hands around his hands so he cant throw me any punches then i am going to hit him a couple of times then run then wrap him for 30 seconds then hit him again for 5 seconds.. i only hope the ref allows me to do all that holding...and i am going to be a winner

Controlled aggression you see from Ward there; once on top you don't have to do too much, instead do just enough and pace yourself to the end.

Amir certainly could learn from him and pace himself for the entire fight.

Have you noticed that alot of these Froch type of fighters trying to employe an Ali /Mayweather style. Some body forgot to tell them that you have to be exceptionally gifted to make those style work! Andre Ward is just a much better boxer!
