  • Rorschach is right, god is not there, he doesn`t make the world this way, the liberals do with their nonsense called compation, they cover it up and pretend, saying that evil doesn`t exist. Never compromise, even in the face of evil, i shall not compromise in this.

  • .....why does Rorshach have an English accent when Watchmen takes place in NY??

  • @PoorMansHero Because the guy who wrote it is English and this is him speaking.

  • this sounds...RIDIKOLOUS

  • Was the last half a scene from the movie?

  • @BallerCityTV No... Im not sure where its from.

  • @BallerCityTV No, it's at the beginning. I don't remember when. Frst 10 minutes for sure.

  • like it or not... I see this as the reality of the world just like rorschach, and I would do anything to fix this rotten world... no matter the cost...

    NEVER COMPROMISE

  • i liked his voice in the movie. i thought it was awesome.

  • God damn, Rorshach is scary 0.O

  • jaja no, just lonly and he speaks truth, he thinks logicly but with pain, and alittle of negativity because he is alone, and with no love nowhere :(

  • Too True. It sucks that he had to die, but if it help ended his pain and lonelyness...

RIP Rorshach. BTW, you the Bomb, nuff said lol.

  • oh well he indeed neede to die, all what happende here neded to happend theres no charcater with a dialog which was "just there" alll suppprting characters, even if they just sound out a "hi" where importnat, and well rorschach indeed wanted to die, and also needed to.. becuase if he hadnt been killed he wouldnt stop till the trith was reviled about the Ozzymadias plan! the same for Comedian...

  • Yeah, but I think it was Waiter Kovac that compromised and not Rorshach, if that makes any sense.

  • RORSCHACH= ZALGO

  • holly fuck....i thought the one from the anamated comic was messed up *shudders* this is how he is sopose to sound. closed my eyes when i was listeing to this...i dont think i want to do it agein for awhile..

  • nice but i think jackie earle haley's rorschach is much better

Alan moore sounds a bit like some kind of pirate

  • yes, but to be fair, isn't he english? Plus Jackie Earl Haley is a professional actor

  • I know but i still like them both

  • i find Jackie Earle Haley's Rorschach voice more appeasing to the ears. tho Alan's was friggin' creepy, made me uncomfortable. reading to comic, with Rorschach's thoughts and dialouge in squiggly bubbles.. you can almost hear his voice.

  • I want to see Blood Syndicate on film.

  • Rorschach with Alan's accent kind of makes me lol, but I like it in a weird way.

  • Would have been better if Alan Moore did it in an American accent. Not that I don't like British accents, but Rorschach is American and all. Nevertheless, Moore did a fucking brilliant job.

  • watchmen is the best superhero comic ever published

  • best. comic. ever.

  • i finally have a reason to go to college...so i can understand what alan moore is talking about

  • alan moore does the best RORSCHACH's voice the best. he does it with so much emotion and he says it slow but the movie version he says it to fast but im not bitchin cuz the movie looks badass

  • Guy who did Rorschach in the movie deserves the oscar more than ledger did.

  • I agree!

  • That would be Jackie Earle Haley - i saw the movie a 2nd time mainly because of his awesome portrayal of Rorschach.

  • Rorschach isn't supposed to have emotion though, many times in the comic they mention his monotone voice.

  • Alan Moore can over rule continueity. If he wanted to he could freakin rewrite the entire book, not that any one wants that...wow I want to kill myself for even mentiononing those words...anyway the point is author>continueity.

  • dude the movie is bad ass!

  • i agree the movie was fucking amazing just sayin i like alan moores voice more

  • amazing voice. just brilliant.

  • rorschach is not british he's american

  • yeah but i think thats one of the makes cos there english, i saw it on a TV show

  • this is the author of the comic reading this i hope you realize.

  • He sounds more Australian than English.

  • this is how rorshach should sound in movie.

  • Mayan.....I already believe that Watchmen is going to be amazing, but if it was like this....it would've just been too much. British accent and all, I think Moore just did it perfectly. But then again, since he wrote it, he knew what he wanted it to sound like.

  • brilliant comic, looks like a great movie, but i pictured rorschach's voice to be more like Martin sheen's in Apocalypse Now, and well, you know, AMERICAN lol but still alan moore is great

  • Very GRIMDARK.

    I like it.

    Nihlistic to the core.

  • I played this with my speakers to the max and IT WAS AWESOME.

  • Watchmen Riddle Revealed.

    Google WATCHMEN UNMASKED.

    Read it and Weep.

  • Read it and laugh, you mean?

  • Allan Moore's voice makes rorsarch even creepyer.

  • Part of this isn't his journal its from when hes telling the psychiatrist all about the 1st time he ever killed anyone during one of his cases. "Stood in firelight, sweltering bloodstain on chest like map of violent continent. Felt cleansed. Felt dark planet turn under my feet and knew what cats know that makes them scream like babies at night."

  • why do so many people hate the raspy rorshach voice? Is it christian bales Batman thing? I read the book and pictured rorshach sounding roughly similar to this minus the british twang of course. Hell that made the movie trailer all the more apealing to me.

  • Don't like his Rorschach voice. He's brilliant though.

  • Alan Moore couldn't be any cooler than he already is. omg he is the epitome of greatness and his voice is top notch!

  • This is Allam Moore (the writer of watchmen) reading from the book.

  • rorschach is awesome.

  • Rorschach doesn't have British accent. He is American, like everyone else in the story.

  • But his voice is still awesome. :)

  • Well the writer, who's reading it.. IS british.. so... yeah, leave the man alone.

  • I am aware that it is Allen Moore reading. I feel privileged to hear him narrate his masterpiece. I was simply reflecting upon the fact that he wasn't in character aurally.

  • Fair enough. Still though, its tough for some to fake an accent and it's probably just better in his case not to try (lest it sound strange).

  • Yes, of course.

  • Alan. Alan Moore.

  • Rorschach is what Alan Moore wants him to be considering its his creation. It really doen't matter does it?

  • Haha, I prolly do. It's been way too long. And yes I do mean Kitty Genovese, but I'm assuming you already knew that because I did mention I wasn't sure how to spell it. Maybe that's my fault that you didn't read that. Wait. No it's not.

  • this is amazing

  • i love how alan moore narrates his work so passionately, it's really fantstic!

  • I love this!

  • Ive only seen the trailer and parts of the Gn, and Here...Rorshach sounds Scarier than Batman+The Joker, he sounds terrifying.

  • This isn't the actual movie, this is a different project.

  • please tell me what did u make the mask out of, and how did u make it?

  • I hope that in the movie they go into Rorschach's past. I'm curious to see the cross over from Kovac. Also I'm curious to see him creating the mask, out of Dr.Manhattans material.

Except for Silk Spectre the cast looks perfect. For her they should have used the girl from Transformers.

But the topless chick from Harold & Kumar works too :) LOL

  • RORSCHACH was a garment worker; and had to handle female clothing". Working in this capacity, in 1962 he grew fascinated by a new fabric made possible through technologies developed by Doctor Manhattan. Two viscous liquids, one black and one white, between two layers of latex, continually shifted in response to heat and pressure, forming symmetrical patterns like a Rorschach inkblot test. He learned to cut the fabric and maintain the seal using heated scissors.

  • Uhm, according to the graphic novel it was a fabric he used belonging to a dress Kitty Genovive(or however you spell it) had made. Once she was killed while people were watching and they did nothing(true story, look it up)he used her dress fabric to make it. I read the novel like 7 years ago and I still remembered that. Come on.

  • Wow Alan Moore makes it sound even scarier than it already is.

    AWESOME!

  • Rorschach is the best character in the entire book!! Ppl like him scare the hell outta me!

  • Wow, this is exactly what I thought Rorschach would sound like (except not British of course). The strange, halting monotone voice is something I hope they emulate in the movie. It really makes him seem less of a hero and more of a lonely, deeply disturbed psychopath.

  • Isnt that what he is in the Novel?

  • nice

  • Alan Moore's voice is so fricking cool

  • you can hear part of this monologue in the new trailer

  • Thia video is so awesome. I hope the movie is just as good.
