  • I must be lucky as I have heard them sing several times here in the UK, more so earlier this year just before the breeding season.

  • That is one hungry chubby bullfinch bird. Are you sure that isn't a pregnant female? Don't understand why the bullfinch sings elsewhere but UK. One beautiful bird Phil. I put out my hummingbird feeders today. 4-2 Friday. I don't know if it is to early. I know last year i was late. Ready this time Phil. Thank You for the enjoyment.

  • @3slimdog LOL the Female is a duller pinky colour, and no one really understands why they are not singing as much here in uk. I would love it if they would :)

  • great phil..  do they migrate back and forth? maybe they just sing certain times of the year, on holiday while visiting the continent?

    (did your new tripod arrive? this looks great!)

  • @floydstinkyboy Yes thanks FLoyd got the tripod and used it for the Bullfinch. Tricky thing to get in right position but got there in the end ;)

  • They are beautiful birds especially the male in your vid Phil. Funny enough i saw one today down forest farm they really stand out from the trees.

  • @thebirdgarden The female was with him, only saw the pair, but she could not stay in focus because of the tree barnches and twigs etc.. Still, there is always tomorrow ;)
