Did you use a clean studio recording for tarja and a live one for Anette. If so, that's really unfair. If not and if these are both live recordings, people need to remember that Tarja has had years to practice this song and it was written for her skill level. This song is not within Anette's style so considering that, she's doing a damn good job and good on her for trying. I respect Anette. I like Tarja too but can you imagine that she could have sung Amarath as well as Anette?

Tarja and Anette are two different woman, different voice and style of singing. Tarja is Operatic, Anette is more Pop. Tarja was/is better then Anette, considering the songs we`re made FOR Tarja. The new album is made for Anette. I personally do not like hearing Anette sing Tarja`s songs. It just doesn`t work. BUT the new songs, she sounds ok. She needs to work on her singing skills. She is not the best, but she is cute though. She`s trying hard. While Tarja is doing her things quite well.

Interesting combination you made there, I love that song with both singers (the music and lyrics is what matters most). They are two completely different voices and they sound great together (they should be friends again NW and Tarja so maybe one day they'll do this). Tarja's voice is dark, deep, soft, and powerful. Anette's voice is sweet, aggressive, and charming (I hope she has worked in her voice in the break of the band because she's not a skilled singer but she has potential).

O-M-FREAKING-G! people calm down! Anette and Tarja are BOTH amazing and both have (had) something beautiful to bring to Nightwish as a band. The whole argument about either of them is silly and a waste of energy. Yes, Tarja had a more full voice but Anette messes with the pitch of her's, both singers are fantasic no matter what. Personally, I believe that this mix, though a little off with the timing, was a great way to see how good both of them truly are.

Its funny that someone should upload a pretend duet between Tarja and Anette. Right back when I first discovered Nightwish I thought that Tarja and Anette were in the band right now - like at the same time; that there were two lead female vocalists. =P

I like both equally. Both have brilliant qualities and both can sing. Different styles of singing but still excellent. This "mix" isn't too bad either. A little uneven in parts but it kinda works :)
