WOW! But that guys really need some high resolution CCD camera! Picture looks quite bright and not too noisy so may be even color! (RGB matrices have about 30% sensitivity compared to B/W version of same chip) WANNA SEE THIS FULL HD!!!!!!! Hey, is there any space turists?
Why is there a glow just above the horizon? is this visible light frequencies?
Btw, humans wouldn't freeze in space, not immediantly anyways.
When they say it's cold in space... Well, it's a vaccum. So there's really not any temperature at all. On Earth we lose heat 3 ways, radiation, heat transfer and losing hot material (water vapor, sweat, breath), In space, you can only lose heat through radiation, so spaceships actually have problems keeping cool (need heat radiators).
@Eagle1Division2 Is that why Appolo 13 astronauts were freezing cold when they had to shut down everything? Because the were having trouble staying cool in space?
@crawford229 Apollo 13 was designed with radiators with enough surface area to keep the spacecraft cool. Produce X heat, lose X heat. When they were forced to shut down electrical systems, they produced far less than X heat, but the radiators kept on radiating X heat, so they were radiating more than heating, and thus they cooled off.
Read the last paragraph on the Voskhod 2 wiki article, or anywhere else educational. Suffered too much heat, didn't radiate enough from the spacesuit.
@crawford229 Oh, and leave smarting off to people who've actually done a lot of research and study on the subject. Don't assume your assumptions are always correct despite a glaring lack of education/research on your part. That's very good advice and will help you a lot in life.
TV is not a good education.
(Why do people want to argue that space is like hell so badly? The vacuum is bad for your health... but not THAT bad...)
Read up on vacuum exposure. Most sci fi is dead wrong. (2001 was good)
the invasion of the 2-dimensional animals. here u see the larger ones ingesting the smaller ones as their perimeter expands. they do this be establishing connectivity.
Am I right in saying that the large area of lights moving along the bottom of the screen is Chicago, with lake Michigan appearing at 36 seconds, then we progress south east with Florida at the end?
Did anyone see the shooting star over Florida at 4:11? Believe me...it's Florida. If you look closely, you will see a small white speck of light off the coast of Florida; that's the island of Grand Bahama. By the way Yoshichan3, those flashes are flashes of lightning. You just can't see the clouds they're coming from because it's dark. Cool video!
At first I thought it was video as the shuttle came over the U. S. from the north looking east, but that can't be it. Look at the "Florida" at the end. It's all turned around and out of proportion to the rest of the "U.S.". If that is Miami at the bottom of the "Florida," than why is it on the Gulf of Mexico side of the state? I'm not sure what this video shows.
if al gore had his way, this video would be shit

Then why are the "flashes" coming from spots that are darker than the other areas? They are storms. End of story.
