I really miss Eccleston. Him and the writing in his series were just. So. Good. I did a complete series run from the New series to present day over this summer, and although there were plenty of Tennant and Smith bits that I've loved to bits in rediscovering them, there is quite a considerable part of me saying that Eccleston's is my favourite series. Good, proper sci-fi stories, excellent characters, phenomenal wit, proper arc-handling, and clever but simple writing. Just stunning television.

I think Ecclestan was the action Doctor. Tennant had more emotional material (had the best companion as well with Donna) and Matt Smith is a funny dork. All in all I think Tennant will always be the greatest.
