If this album came out today it would be hailed as an instant classic. It's actually a lot like Together Through Life but with healthier vocals. Neither of them have Dylan's best songs, but that doesn't mean they're bad albums. At the time though nobody got DITG, probably cause it wasn't obnoxiously overproduced like Empire Burlesque.
