Cenayon: I understand you. Perhaps Kathleen only plays this kind of roles because she is coloratura soprano, and never had opportunities in dramatic roles.
She is great - and she made way more money doing what she did as a soloist. Don't pity her, she knew exactly what she did and thank god. This is one of the greatest opera artists ever - we're lucky to have seen her perform and have this voice reocorded for years to come.

I like how you put that - the first time I've heard the real consequence. It's the public who lost out. It's the public, the ones who truly love music and great singing, and who aren't in any way interested in pointing fingers, who lost the most.
Great performance... The orchestra is just perfect!
