  • 4:43 FISH !!!

  • sorry we call it like we see it, you can already tell he is not gonna last, we are not a bleeding heart like you im sorry but he he need to step up his instinct and stop thinking too much .

  • @jan1761 STOP TROLLING SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder what he's been using as fishing bate? A lake, especially one that big, is full of fish. Salmon would be great...and easier for him...but he just needs to work on his bate for the lake. Plus, considering he doesn't like the idea of bears being around---hello---where the salmon go, so do tons of bears.

  • 4:44 fish alert!

  • @Phanes1337 Damn, your right.

  • abide by the laws of canada??? fuck that i'd be living the law of surviving and shooting whatever the fuck i wanted to eat.

  • @Takkantis YEP! And I'd support your right to do it.

  • @Vote4RonPaulLiberty lol, i'm canadian, go kiss some americans ass for votes.

  • @Takkantis I don't kiss ass and I'm not running for office so no votes required. I grew up near Canada. Too bad it's become a social service country. What a waste of good land.

  • @Vote4RonPaulLiberty lol, you mad bro?

  • @Takkantis I'm not a bro. And of course not it's goofy.

  • @Vote4RonPaulLiberty lmfao, well in any case, GL with your asskissery.

  • you r a fucking cunt.... drama queen

  • He should have turned the camera off and shot that damn moose or caribou. He could have easily ate that thing without anyone ever knowing it. The fact that he thought he could survive in the North Woods without killing any game animals astonishes me.

  • @MadMatt105 Yeah, me, too. I don't believe in the king's deer and I wonder who puts themselves in the position of protecting the king's deer. How free are we if we can't even fend for ourselves?

  • @Vote4RonPaulLiberty It's not about protecting a king who doesn't exist's deer, it's about protecting the wildlife population from extinction. I'm literally in awe of your imbecility...like wtf are you smoking? LOL

  • @Helikaon9 Please shut your banana hole numbskull. Kick that walnut-sized spark box into high gear and pay attention. Deer are overpopulated to the point that so-called authorities are paying people to kill them in some areas. King was used as a metaphor. You make a good little slave. Now run along and recite the rules you've been given by your captors.

  • ina situation like this you have to make a desiction either im gonna eat and kill to eat or press my panst button and order more food with my satilie phone or how ever this dip shit did to go this far into the bush with out a rifle and traps or snare wire to feed your self is foolish this guy got what he deserved if your gonna go into the bush you cant go at it like a yuppie you either man up and get the job done or you starve like this dumb bitch

  • lol feeding your slef comes first if tou have to shoot game or trap it to feed your self you do it this wasnt a real challenge he pussed out "i wanna abide by the rules and regulations of canada" but me starving means nothing im gonna die of starvation but i cannot kill the deer in front of me that has all the leat i need to survive..dude i love being by my self when i wanna talk to people i fire up my generator and send messages over the net.42 days is a good vacation. you should of had a rifle

  • Hey, PoliceFag!..shut up!! I think the reason why people are tired of all of his whinin' and cryin' is because he PUT himself in that situation..his DREAM remember?.he was'nt in a plane crash or hiking accident...survival is about taking advantage of opprotunities and he's missing alot of them. And watch who you're calling a loser because you're probably the biggest one of all or close to it. So you "man" up! Oh wait, you're PoliceFag..sorry dude(et).

  • Comment removed

  • I know why this fool is crying,,@ 4:45 of video while he's trying to follow a freakin' moose that he can't shoot, there's a fish splashing on the edge of the bank..should be fishin' and not playin'..hope this gets better..he needs to simplify his expectations and get busy!

  • He is so better from Bear Grils :)

  • just make friends with the oose and have him swim you all over the place

  • Here's the abridged version of my experience on training courses with whining know-it-alls.

Their hands are welded into their pockets, but their mouths flap faster than a humming birds wings.

If you calculated all of the supposed experience the average KIA has, he or she would have to be older than their grandparents.

The best way to deal with a KIA. Stand back, say "You sound like you know what your talking about. So show me how to do it." 99 times out of 100, they fall on their face.

  • Cool story, but I have a hard time watching him cry so much.

  • He's as real as it gets. My hats of to you for you honesty.Gwn

  • much love and respect for Ed,however,he lost me @ "having to abide-by...Canadas laws..."

if that's where your heart & mind is,boy, you'd better stay home,on the couch in front of the tube...you little wanker !

  • A true test of inner strength. Easier said than done.

  • If he could have just killed some big game like that moose I'm sure he would've made it.

  • No Bison Ed, sorry.

  • This is not typical. Normally, an average person would either have been dead, or have become one with the woods. All humanity is gone, they merely react to the environment, and eventually are essentially animals.

Being a conduit for the woods is worse than death.

    You aren't you anymore.

    You're a beast. A filthy, debased, beast.

  • @cookechris28 And you're getting this "conduit for the woods" info from...

  • @combatswimmer1 Accounts from pioneers, separated from their groups. An example: A family stranded in mountains ate each other.

  • dick proenneke did better

  • eat the god dam moose

  • Get rid of both Dutch stoves !!!!

  • 4.47 i saw some salmon in water ...

  • Shoot the moose!

  • Hes doing pretty well, but he wouldn't be so hungry if he had flyfishing gear with him tho, not all fish jump straight on to a lure. There's plenty fish around, just wrong gear to catch the smaller ones.

  • Turn the camera off. Shoot the caribou. 4 weeks out of the way!

  • What I don´t understand: Why the hell didn`t he stay permanently in some camp and build it more properly, maybe a small hut or so ... This would`ve been the base from where he could've hunted, fished etc.

  • i wouldve shot it. who wouldve known? i mean once anyone saw the video, i wouldve been out of canada anyway

  • Least he didn't have to worry about random people. Bears are one thing but people can be the most unpredictable of all things.

  • That caribou thought the grass looked greener on the other side...

  • i have worlds of respect for him but fuck canadian laws kill the freaking deer !!!

  • @CrazyDutcheZ

Well, maybe that one swimming was a little bit too big for one man, but a smaller one...i wouldn't

hesitate shooting, especially when i'm starving...so, yes fuck the law...i need to survive dammit !!

If i kill a deer, i eat as much as i can and the rest of the meat i smoke to conserve...for later.

  • he left a perfectly good canoe at his first camp to haul all that gear, and I can't believe he didn't break a limb doing that, who totes a cast iron dutch oven any way?

Guy is clearly inept, give him credit for trying had he stayed put, which I believe he sez in the closing notes he'd been far better off. He was chasing salmon like addicts chase a fix, small fish m,mighta been more work at his original location but he also didn't exploit small game, and seems tohave little plant knowledge

  • i have to give this man credit to not being able to hunt big game which he needs to survive any longer or at least have a sustainable food source, and only surviving off small game and fish for 3 months that takes something else that many people don't have.

  • Pretty sure theres a fish splashing in the water at 4:44

  • Comment removed

  • @AtheisMisReality you're probably right that he would have lacked the know how about how to probably smoke and preserve the meat which I said in an earlier comment about being terribly unprepared and grossly lacking in survival skills. I do admire his courage for trying. I just feel that a lot of the people who criticize him are being very hypocritical and severely lack compassion and understanding

  • Comment removed

  • 7:58 gun in the dirt much?

  • Personally I would turn the camera off and kill that Moose without hesitation... The law would be no more significant to me than my turds. Hunting big game for skin clothing and long term meat is essential to surviving out there. I would be very careful to make sure nothing goes to waste.

  • i lived in the woods for a bit... i cant imagine doing it for that long though

  • What a whimp!!!!

  • Hunt the freaking moose.

  • Kill the caribou! Who cares about laws!

  • he would have been ok if he was allowed to shoot the moose.

  • Suck it up, your embarrassing yourself crying on camera.

  • Essential survival tool- a sharpie! This dufus does carry some junk with him.

  • yeah this guy is too much of a "world" lover he wants to get back to the modern world of television, hustle and bustle of the city, working some crappy job to make money to pay for electricity, countless bills and living like a slave. Little does he realize the freedom and beauty he is getting by beoing out there in the wild. ide give anything to be able to do what hes doing and i wouldnt miss this shitty modern life for a minute!

  • @bubber25 ...and here you sit, on your computer, doing nothing.

  • @joshypoo79 cant help it. Im a slave in this blue collar world. working my ass off to pay high electricity bills, high gas, high food. work work work...but youtube when i can. what are YOU doing

  • @bubber25 lol, you choose to be a slave?

  • Salmon is a seasonal food, he needs to mainly focus on nonseasonal foods, while he searches for harder to acquire seasonal foods, Nonseasonal's are for example inner bark, twig ends, male cones on twig ends, sap, needle tea's, leaf buds, roots, eat those to keep yourself hunting and fishing and setting traps. Many trot lines would be key for him right now, so he can have hooks in the water 24/7, also baited spring poles on the bank would give him more opportunity to passivey catch fish.

    -Mitch

  • All of you calling him a whiny bitch and criticizing him for some opportunities he did not take, i wanna see you man up and live in the wild alone for 3 months. most of you are just a pathetic bunch of losers who have never done anything extrodinary in your lives.

  • @PoliceFag people that criticize this guy in any way are useless in God's plan

  • @harybosco there is no god sry

  • @PoliceFag I am agree with you dude!

  • @PoliceFag I get where you're coming from, but he does seem to complain a lot when there's nobody to complain to. I could understand bitching to someone else, everyone does that, but he just whines endlessly to nobody in particular.

  • @PoliceFag so what have you done that is better then others here..? as for me I think the guy put himself in a place he's not ready to take on. Sure he's climb everest, and other place, but there were other people there to help him, just think how many times those guides have been to the top and back, you don't see any of them on TV.

heck if I was paid to do this , I would .. but getting the money or sponsor is not likely for your average joe...

  • @PoliceFag You're totally right, policefag. Kids these days are too busying jacking off in their mom's basement to bimbos with fake tits to even think about going outside and taking in nature. Man I went onto a vacation to Madeline island, what a treat. You really look at life different once you get out of your normal, eat sleep work daily routine.

  • @low72 I like jacking of to bimbos with real tits though.

  • Comment removed

  • your awesome dude!!!! you childhood dream!!!!

    goodluck for future travel

  • Can't shoot mooses eh... If i was in a life and death situation, withought a question i would be using that gun on a moose in a second. Laws may be there to protect them, but my life is more important than keeping a moose alive. If that moose will feed me for a month, that opportunity will not get past me. If he would have shot and killed that moose, he wouldn't have cried and whined so much like a panzy bitch he is.

  • this dude is a serious bitch

  • Bull mooses are more dangerous than bears are during matin season.

  • Why is this clown following the moose when theres a fish clearly splashing about in the water. man this guy sucks... i've not seen him get his rifle out once! he doesnt even bother to fish once he has caught enough for 1 tiny meal. pathetic

  • Canada 1

    scottsman 0

  • Geese+Shotgun=Food, doesn't it?

  • @minbound

    Goose+shotgun=food-jail time=crappy

Big game hunting licence if there was no camara he'd probably do it geradles of the rules though ^^

  • You need a migratory bird license. And its not the correct season to harvest birds.

  • Hes got good handwriting

  • Why isnt he eating that fish at 4:42?!

  • @Piratolle protected animals

  • if you were truly stuck in the woods and you had a hunting rifle then you would have to shoot that moose for the food.

  • dude i noticed near the end of the video you had a gun leaned against a tree, why didnt you blast that moose, make some jurkey smoke it all u have a winter blanket now and enuff meat for the winter if u wanted. but still alot of meat to deal with lol

  • 4:40-4:50 i think i see fish splashing in the water..? so their is alot of food forsure

  • @skyhlgh i'm wandering too why he don't found food if I see it from home?!!:))

  • This whole series is very much inspired by "Into The Wild", even the music seems copy of Eddie Vedder's music in Into the Wild. Good series anyways

  • ps its only illegal to hunt moose cuz its on camera

  • in real situation like that u dont give a fuck if its a moose or a bald eagle and its illeagal to hunt you're gonna kill it and eat it 2 survive, plain n simple

  • it must be so frustrating seeing a giant steak walking around and not be able to take it down for supper

  • You are famined, you have a riffle and a shotgun, There is no-body for hundreds of miles. You see 600 pounds of meat that can not run away. Sorry but that's a no brainer. Unless this is fake. Instinct comes above respecting the law. And anyway you could have pleaded that you thought it was a bear that was going to attack you.

    Piece of Jerky anyone.....

  • elk and caribou are the same thing I think. And there are deffinetley no buffaloes in America, theres only bison

  • wild-campen.de

Auf dieser Webseite findest Du Erfahrungsberichte zum Abenteuer Wild Zelten. Des Weiteren Erfahrungsberichte über die Risiken beim Wild Campen in Deutschland, Schweden und Australien. Im Board findest Du Erfahrungsberichte wo Wild Zelten unter Strafe gestellt ist.

  • @MircoGR English please... if it is what i think it is id like to know more

  • im canadian but if im in his situation i dont care about any laws im taking down big game

  • The thing I really find amazing is that his quality of cinematography never diminishes, even when his wits and physical stamina do. Good stuff.

  • Im pretty confident that he could of does this if he killed the moose. It was within shooting distance and as long as he knew how to butcher and dry it, he would be eating like a king for a long long time. Really though.....he could have easily gotten away with it if he wasnt on camera. There was nobody around and not even any planes flying overhead. The law doesent really matter when you are that far out, nobody is going to look for you.

  • @mrfadedjeans is not the most effective way, it is absolutely ridiculous the government is allowed to put people in the "hole" for 10 years +, and most of the time it just breads violence and hatred towards to person who put them in there.

  • live off the wild "iv done it so far" like crap - he's been eating his rice and oats he mentioned earlier. how long has he been living off what HE has caught? he was mentally fd the moment he stepped foot off the plane lol

  • @ozmanofpeace Well it isn't like the animals run in front of him to shoot them. It isn't always easy to live completely off the land. Many people have tried and everyone of them failed.

  • @b4igetu NOW you're really showing your stupidity and naievity! People HAVE been successful living off the land - MANY PEOPLE! you're the kind of person who WOULD fail in exactly the same way as this guy coz of your lack of knowledge, understanding and skill, not to mention small mental capacity. I can talk FROM EXPERIENCE, how about you? I think the answer to that is obvious...

  • He's to much too much crying do we really need to see hours of this softarce crying over what. Take the fucking radio and gun off him not enjoyed how his program has unraveled get some one not this guy again terrible to share this adventure. No good. Don't come with me on my next adventure. For god sakeman no good

  • @panthercar425 oh stop your crying!

  • The salmon spawn near my home in BC. I appreciate that they are a lot of food, but we are concerned that they are not overfished, or endangered by fish farms and pollution. Watching salmon spawn is such an amazing sight, I bring my students out of class to see it, and bring my children down to our river to see them. They are close enough to touch.
