  • Completely fascinating performances, if pretty badly recorded. I'd take Kentner over any of these fellows with ''the very best techniques''. In terms of artistry, to my mind only Bolet rivals Kentner in terms of imagination and musicianship, and especially the combination. Arrau does come close, but his interpretation is far less imaginative than these.

  • Wonderful pictures & nice music ,

  • Extremely nice to hear this recording.

  • Very well played and passionate, but, yes, now I can understand better some of NoseHow's reservations...but the earlier Liszt recordings made in the 30s were a real revelation to me when I first heard them.

    Very nice artwork indeed!

  • Well, Arrau is of course a different level of experience altogether ... !

  • 'Feux Follets' and 'Wilde Jagd' are not my fauvorite liszt 's piece but this video is very impressive!!!

You do a good work on this Julian!

    Thanks!!!

  • The Artwork on this video is perfect for the music....Louis Kenter used to be spoken of in hushed tones because of the hypnotic effect his playing had on his listeners. A Classical stylist who seems to have played the most difficult of pieces with ease ,which made him popular with audiences .
