I think you're wasting your time with that tool. Push the beckets in and tap the coils together as you go along stringing ! I have an excellent tool for tapping the coils down from above and up from beneath. I can show it to you if you're interested, send you a video or something. It is an American tool so you will probably be aware of it already. Best regards. SNB
In pulling up on the strings, and coaxing the wire at the agraffes, capo bar....how much pressure are you applying to settle the wire? I know pulling too much will break the tool. I enjoy your videos.
Kindof a low temperature welding... Solder is usually a mixture of lead and tin (though there are lead-free options) that when melted can join two metals. Not nearly as strong as welding. Silver solder is stronger than regular soldering, but requires a higher heat - though less than welding.

the pliers you made with the brass soldered.....how to you attach the brass? Is it a welding process, solder?
