This is simply one of the best and funniest sitcom episodes ever made. Glorious. I have seen this dozens of times but always laugh with gusto at it. These shows were like watching hilarious (and often fiery) plays, with great acting and scripts. Thanks to the cast and to Norman Lear for bringing us this comedy gold. Love it so.

I love Jeannie Linero! (The waitress) She played the maid of honor to Connie Corleone in the wedding scene of The Godfather, the one who is also having an affair with Sonny Corleone (James Caan). She also appeared in two other All In The Family episodes: the nurse who takes Archie's blood when he decides to become a blood donor, and as a grumpy cashier in the supermarket when he goes shopping with Edith. In all three episodes does she have a confrontation with Archie! Great stuff!

This week I just learned from my new "groinacologist" that am starting to go thru Edith's problem here. A few seasons later is Edith's 50th B-day when there's the rape attempt. You're right; the actress is Jeanine Linero who played the waitress on this one & on the one the prior season was the nurse when Archie gave blood. Ms. Linero a couple seasons later played the grocery store cashier in part 1 of "The Unemployment Story".
