  • Love the sound he creates.

  • This man is a survivor

  • pink sock, dickies pants, no shirt, recording the headiest solo album, sounds like my brother

  • i am a man but i am not ashamed to love this man. i love you john.

  • Wtf this song isn't on the album:S

  • with songs like this we don't need heroin, the feeling of getting high transmits through the guitar!! John Frusciante is God!!

  • @unclechristy020 very true. I guess being in one of the worlds best bands has its perks ey haha. Great music though...

  • i think the last 100 plays were mine!!

  • thank you for kicking the drugs john, else way these great songs would not be here for us to listen to.

  • MUSIC is a universal language and Someone like John is always there to prove that.......

  • The sad thing is if this was some unknown artist they probably wouldn't be recognised for this

  • FUCK!!! WHY I LOVE THIS MAN SO MUCH!!!!!!

  • you all may be right and i may be deaf. i think frusciante's compositional sense and talent are unrivaled and miss his contribution to rhcp.

  • He needs a singer and do back up vocals for his own songs. Trying to be the singer is a poor choice for him. Great guitar - lousy voice. Great melody construction - just let someone else execute them please.

  • @tommy8247 look harder. Inside of Emptiness and shadows collide with people are best albums to start

  • @tommy8247 dude. his voice is great. its his own personal, soulful style. he hits notes with beauty and clarity that no one else quite does. you obviously know nothing of feeling and soul when it comes to music.

  • @rhcp484 you can compose songs with soul and feeling and have others execute them without losing anything

  • @tommy8247 yeah, except you are missing the point that Johns voice is FULL of soul and feeling. and he hits notes wonderfully also.

  • @rhcp484 what if frusciante composed a song and hand-selected the vocalist and instrumentalists to perform them? where he was not both the creator and the performer but just the creator? would be something i'd like to hear.

  • @tommy8247 then it would be a song that john composed...not performed by john. lol which im sure would be cool, but how can you not appreciate johns performing? he is so full of soul, and talented also.

  • @tommy8247 he really does have an amazing voice. remember this is probably from like 1999 on his 05 album his singing is amzing.

And youre forgetting his backup vocals with the chilis on by the way and stadium arcadium.

did they not rival anthony's lead? who isnt that great of a singer himself he still has a great voice tho.

  • @tommy8247 lol, saying he has a lousy voice is just ignorant. You have obviously heard VERY little of his singing, because he is an amazing singer.

  • @tommy8247 a) this is a demo b) his voice is one of the main attractions of his solo work, its real its true and very emotional. Also it gives it a lo-fi atmosfere to it. c) he does sing in different stiles and qualities throughout his solo albums. Empyrean for example features very clean falsetto vocals. Having someone sing for him is just like the peppers, its great but the whats the point of solo works?

  • @000theUnforgiven000 the point of solo works is, you can do exactly what you want without having any others opinion. john frusciante has a very unique style when it comes to create music. and he's not in it for money or fame. he question what he self can do for music, and not what it can do for you. RHCP is all over the world, he never wanted that.. not even at the beginning which is one of the reasons he quit eariler in 92. you can't possibly ask for more of this guy.. he's an incredible person.

  • @Anthoonyf

every single word you said is true.. well said.

    JOHN IS MY HERO

  • @000theUnforgiven000 Freedom... as much as I loved his work with the Chili Peppers, he could only go so far with them. His solo work allows for him to experiment with different styles both on the guitar and through vocals, when you're in the world's biggest rock band, there is a lot less room to experiment and create. Personally, I'm 100% thankful he left the peppers, although I do wonder what would have come from 1 more album.

  • @tommy8247

he's got one of the best voices

  • PINCHE GENTE DROGADICTA JAJA PERO AÚN ASÍ ME GUSTAN SUS CANCIONES NO SE POR QUE

  • Picture of a true musician, you don't need all the crap to make great music if your good!

  • @jimharris84 why-y?

  • Comment removed

  • John if u r reading this, u and the Chili peppers are meant to be together, life is short, why spend it doing something else and being lesser than what you are meant to be, a chilli pepper.

  • @Zephyesa music isnt about success or fame its about expression and maybe he felt peppers wasnt fulfilling him creatively anymore - no disrepect to rhcp

  • @Zephyesa i felt dissapointed when john left the band as many people but i think, when u kind'a know frusciante a lil deeper u just feel his happyness cuz hes experimenting himself throguh the music. That is what he is meant to be. i guess

  • @JuannabisRoach he'l be back.

  • @Zephyesa John wasn't even an original member of the peppers. He's way better off solo. If anything the chili peppers held him back from expressing his full musical potential.

  • @alohaila To be honest I cant hear much interesting stuff from his solo career, I like the dying song so far, thats about it for me.

  • Nice socks

  • nobody such him

  • Comment removed

  • pink socks like seriously ?!

  • @bfg094 He's expressing himself through his sock colours! Maybe his feet felt happy that day? I dunno hahah

  • amo a este hombre !!

  • where can I find this on iTunes?? :D I usually buy CD's but :) <3

  • @djina0605 Just search for John Frusciante in the iTunes store, and the 'To Record Only Water For Ten Days' album should be in there. Not particularly hard to find =)

  • He is so perfect.

    I love him so ; )

  • is this picture from his home? :P

  • @djina0605 yes it is!

  • @JFru13 cool! :D

  • Yes man!

Alive and presenet, in our souls ;)

    g.

  • it sounds like an angel singing!!

  • aaaaaaah aaaaaaaaah i can see why night came first, i'm in my face tooowaaaaaaaards, climbing down with the ocean overheaaad, fill my nights with water and aaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiir, i'm a castle flyiiiing high, on the backs of stoooooooneeerss, we don't take our time aaagaaain, times going everywhere thats what I'm hearing at least. LONG LIVE FRUSCIANTE
  • @sl1ghtlystoop1d

tnx! can you write all of the lyrics, I can't find them anywhere :)

  • what song is this?

  • Is that a drum machine i hear?

  • I think some people have such a pathetic life, they just have to click the "dislike" button. They cant help but click since they see the hundreds of likes, and have to be that few that tarnish a perfect record.

  • nice socks john haha

  • whats the guitar he is holding in the picture ?

  • @larsvommars1988 its a gibson es-175

  • where can I found the lyrics of this amazing song, please? I've been searching everywhere but it's impossible to find it out :-(

  • he is the real musican thats plays for the music only..

  • john doesnt care about fame. he cares about being true to himself. as long as he's true to himself he's gonna be happy. if he stayed with rhcp he wouldve made shitty music and ruined it.

  • @iJonCB 1st part is irrefutable. 2nd part is wrong.

  • @AllisonsAnarchy well think about it dude. thats what he was doing the 1st time he was with rhcp. he was ruining them and he knew he as. he even says in an interview "i feel like i was diareahing all over this beautiful music" sorryif the quote isnt completely right. but it happened the 1st time. it wouldve happened again.

  • @iJonCB Its called modesty man.

  • Thank God this man is still alive!

  • @polleunited he is god

  • @polleunited with him there is a hope for humanity

  • @polleunited true

  • Right Gorillaz have Damon Albarn who can actually sing and comes from the biggest brit pop group blur that left a huge mark on the music scene even today, who wouldn't want to be compared to this and Damon takes inspiration from artists such as Jeff Buckley which im sure John Frusciante respects because he was a fucking amazing singer and great guitarist. Im sure either one would accept the comparison but perhaps john just needs to find his voice and direction a bit more like Jeff Buckley did.

  • John Frusciante is a musical genius.... he's beyond amazing...

    Also, pink socks FTW! :P

  • I have a feeling my first apartment will look somewhat like that.

  • Frusciante is great but the Gorillaz are very innovative so that's why I like them aswell. Demon Days is a brilliant album. :)

  • H.A.T.E.R.S, HAVING ANGER TOWARDS ENYONE REACHING SUCCESS.

Hater has nothing but anger, john don't deserve haters he's to good for them.

  • @slbasmc You don't know anything about John do you? Maybe you should look up his solo career.

  • @slbasmc I believe you are just wrongly informed.

Check out john's solo stuff once.

  • @slbasmc dude music aint about fame hes doing it for the right reasons for sure. To leave an extremley popular band because you want to play your own music is extremley brave smart and shows his love for music. If your playing music because you want fame and fortune then your not really playing it because you need to feel music to really play it.

  • @slbasmc It might be because of people like you who demean him to being a 'background vocalist' that he left the band. RHCP owes him a lot more than background vocals and guitar solos.

  • Music is music, stop being immature douchebags.

  • Right ok. I love John frusciante. A lot. And i also like gorrilaz quite a lot. So people, just shut up about this stupid argument. He only said what he thought it sounded like, doesnt mean he disliked the song. And Gorrilaz are one of the most exciting fresh bands out today, so theyre not an insult to music. People need to listen to the maccabees song 'no kind words' , might teach you to learn to shut up... still, full respect for JF :)

  • how about this, shutup and listen to the music. how about that?

  • I'm a bassist, but I like frusciante's attitude about playing. I guess it has nothing to do with the instrument.

  • @qwert25

Instruments make music. Music is about conveying thought or feeling. Connection.

  • lol, he's wearing pink socks

  • @77cabral77 haha thanks, didn't even notice!

  • @77cabral77 nd this font is black. you know what they have in common no one gives a shit

  • @77cabral77 Only he can do this and still look awesome ^^

  • which guitar is it in the picture? gibson es-175?

  • @AI3JeWelz Yes, you're right (:

  • sounds a bit like going inside but its still amazing

  • "flll my nights". How hard are nights for a lonely peoples... I'm not lonely but i reallyunderstand eveyone who are. Greatings for everyone are!

  • Just listen to this song

  • Gorillaz is really just David Albarn, the lead vocalist of Blur.

  • people are so retrded this days its a shame this is real music rock and so this stuff is clean and pure real musician

  • Comment removed

  • @PrInCe5627 he didnt fail, get your facts straight, he left to pursue other opportunities, the others were saddened but they accept it for john

  • @PrInCe5627 he has to...i might cry if he's gone forever

  • amazing=(

  • @PrInCe5627

    I wish =[

  • Gorilas is like made with crayolas, frusciante is carved in marble.

  • @gerson27 im also carved in marble

  • @seemeel He didn't fail at staying in the Chili Peppers, he left the band because he wanted to.

  • i love everything but the vocals, which are OK but could be stronger. great to play raw & emotional, but it looks like becoming a good singer usually requires some formal chops building. sure, there are exceptions - Bruce Dickinson says he never took formal lessons, but he did, and does study on his own things you'd learn from a vocal coach

  • Woo, go Annie Leibovitz! Oh yeah, and John, your song's awesome. :D

  • pink socks :D

  • just listeng and stop comparing motherfuckers

  • omg love the pink socks! dude i swear this looks like my room, strummimg guitar and a theres the keyboard on the floor (except mines silver) and a bunch of random junk laying around XD

but seriously, john is amazing, he is the music he plays. by that i mean u can feel while ur listening that his heart and soul is completely in it. <3 u john!! :D

  • frusicante is experimental wit music so is gorillaz there both good....frusciante just does it better cuz he's god like plain and simple now lets shut the fuck up bout gorilaz and talk bout frusiante....if i met frusciante and we had the chance to fuck...i would most likely do it lmao!!!

we all know we're thinkin the same haha!

  • @zhotai77 thats class that comment.. yeah im thinkin it..love him, love his solo work, will be hard seeing the chills without him, by the way.. youd have to join the long que..

  • invisible movement doesnt have this demo

i browse it daily and never came across it

  • This is awesom with the beats!

  • i love both, but you just don't do that to John

  • John Frusciante isnt someone who plays music , he is one of the embodyments of music !

  • where i can get this file?????? i have almos everuthing from jf, i saw the demos from shadows but not from ten days, where did u get this????

  • @fcohzz The demos are available for download at invisible-movement . net

  • yeah going inside :)

  • what is the official title?!?

  • does this remind u guys of going inside?

    Very nice song :)

  • ya dude that's what i thought at first.

  • "going inside" ???

  • @imatube2 haha yea

  • sort of i just wish it was on an album :)

  • To compare John Frusciante to the gorillaz is an insult to the musician of our time and music itself...

  • why, gorillaz are sick

  • Not an insult but definitely not comparable music types.

  • @TheCtjb Hey bro, don't diss Gorillaz. They're great

  • @chickenluva1

simply in a different league...can't compare

  • @TheCtjb yeah man wtf they are both epic in their own way, the gorillaz are awesome musicians too.

  • @TheCtjb are you fuckin kidding me?? Gorillaz are totally awesome, they are producing amazing music... Damon Albarn is a genious, so is John... I mean what a hell?!!

  • @TheCtjb john frusciante is a god, but don't fucking dis the gorillaz. your an insult to music if your going to be ignorant like that. The gorillaz are musical pioneers, trying to do different things with music just as rhcp did in the 80's.

  • @TheCtjb you're an idiot for saying that, you know why? To compare music at all is an insult. Besides gorillaz is fucking good, as is John frusciante, but you REALLY need to wider your views man.

  • @TheCtjb fag

  • @TheCtjb are you trying to say that gorillaz is better than John or that John is better than gorillaz?

  • @TheCtjb naw dude its actually a pretty interesting comparison.

  • @TheCtjb thumbs up dude gorillaz can eat themselves

  • @TheCtjb someone compared him to the fucking gorillaz?

    holy fuck...

  • @TheCtjb Why? Because you see the gorillaz as inferior? The combination of accoustic guitar with electronic music, the tone in singing, and the general mood in some gorillaz songs have similarities. That does not mean that one is as good or as bad as the other.

  • @TheCtjb I love them both thats an awesome comparison and im sure he takes it as a compliment

  • @TheCtjbput yourself in a box an shut up. you and the 48 others do not fuckin know nothing. grorillaz are great in their way...compleatly other type of music with a coplitley different proppose. open your f**king minds. you are the only insult for music. enjoy not ctizise.*excuse my english*

  • @TheCtjb what's so bad about the gorillaz? the guy behind the gorillaz is making a whole new style of music, just like rhcp did in the 1980's with their mix of funk, punk, and rock. i respect him a lot, i don't know why you hate him...

  • @TheCtjb or maybe you don't have the ability to appreciate music as a whole

  • @TheCtjb Being so narrow-minded is an insult to music and art in general.

  • @TheCtjb what is wrong with you?

  • @TheCtjb i love Frusciante but wats wrong with the gorillaz, i think ther one of the most interesting bands right now, u should take a listen to ther new cd if u havent yet....neways thts just my opinion

  • @TheCtjb yeah hi you're a fucking idiot

  • @TheCtjb

im pretty sure john likes gorillaz.

    he likes eminem at least

  • @TheCtjb who exactly would the comparison insult. john and damon albarn are both dedicated musicians this generation is lucky to have as influences

  • @TheCtjb

So you mean its an insult because Gorillaz does not play music or because you think John frusciante is some kind of an holy Messiah of music and guitar?...Well it seems kind of immature to me that you think its bad for someone to compare music (john Frusciante) with music (Gorillaz)......It is just music.

  • @Hemsom1rojder Frusciante is music itself, and the god of guitar.

  • @TheCtjb I love John and Gorillaz, no need to hate.

  • @verySkillfulTKS Gorillaz and john, some great taste.. hats off to you

  • fru wears pink socks :D

  • With this music it is ok to disappear. Thank you, JF!

  • i cant freaKIN HELP IT I LOVE HIS SHIT /MY WIFE DOESNT GET IT BUT IT DOESNT MATTER .I DO .RESPECT

  • @dirtylarry69 right on man :) it's the same thing with a bunch of people i know.

  • haha ! same here only i'm the wife... the husband doesn't get it. at all.

  • Comment removed

  • It's on the demo, not the album. That's why it says "(demos)". You should really read the info of videos more often. He had a ton of songs on the demo to this album which were never commercially released.

  • @ShapelessPictures

    Lol classic reply

  • awesome song, thanks for your opinion butt hole brother!!

  • hey suck my dick.and my balls too...

  • i am having a really really really hard time figuring out the words since they are posted nowhere

  • One word:

    Niandra.

  • Well, I read somewhere that when he parted ways from the Peppers, he was "using" alot, bought a drum machine, and recorded alot of solo stuff, (some was total crap),.. some was awesome!... It was rumoured that he was in some financial trouble, and sold that solo work, for very cheap.. but Im not too sure about any of this, He's my fav guitarist, the real deal,..

.. one of the tunes that he soloed had a lyric something like " he's 39 yrs old,..working in a fucking restaurant..."
