i love everything but the vocals, which are OK but could be stronger. great to play raw & emotional, but it looks like becoming a good singer usually requires some formal chops building. sure, there are exceptions - Bruce Dickinson says he never took formal lessons, but he did, and does study on his own things you'd learn from a vocal coach

Well, I read somewhere that when he parted ways from the Peppers, he was "using" alot, bought a drum machine, and recorded alot of solo stuff, (some was total crap),.. some was awesome!... It was rumoured that he was in some financial trouble, and sold that solo work, for very cheap.. but Im not too sure about any of this, He's my fav guitarist, the real deal,..
.. one of the tunes that he soloed had a lyric something like " he's 39 yrs old,..working in a fucking restaurant..."

@TheCtjb Why? Because you see the gorillaz as inferior? The combination of accoustic guitar with electronic music, the tone in singing, and the general mood in some gorillaz songs have similarities. That does not mean that one is as good or as bad as the other.

It's on the demo, not the album. That's why it says "(demos)". You should really read the info of videos more often. He had a ton of songs on the demo to this album which were never commercially released.

Well, I read somewhere that when he parted ways from the Peppers, he was "using" alot, bought a drum machine, and recorded alot of solo stuff, (some was total crap),.. some was awesome!... It was rumoured that he was in some financial trouble, and sold that solo work, for very cheap.. but Im not too sure about any of this, He's my fav guitarist, the real deal,..
.. one of the tunes that he soloed had a lyric something like " he's 39 yrs old,..working in a fucking restaurant..."
