Not really, even though I'm a fan of both bands, Oomph sounds better (but that's probably because they use more electronics which make the songs very unique). Not to mention that Dero is a much more capable vocalist than Till.

Anyway I always thought Oomph! wasn't as heavy but had more in the area of Goth Rock and Darkwave.

Whereas Rammstein had a bigger sound and sounded more "metal" at the cost of dthe gothic atmosphere associated with the genre.

Both really good depending on what you want in your industrial music.

I can agree and disagree here. While Rammstein does have a more flashy show(partly due to the craziness of it) Duro's voice is always perfectly clear and the exact same as when you listen to him on the albums. Till on the other hand fluctuates between his normal pitch and more raspy singing. If you were to compare the two Duro is 10 times a better singer. But Till writes amazing lyrics and actually shapes the music around his voice.

@zmaacrekk It's very common for bands to have additional musicians during live performances, normally on the album they will play guitar then get on bass then on piano or whatever they need to. It's up to the band who gets to be on stage and whose plugged into a mic behind the curtain.

The band should be able to connect with their audiences purely through music and stage presence, speaking is unnecessary and breaks the sense of mystery and awe that the band manages to produce. Furthermore, I've yet to see any band with more energy and presence than Rammstein. I love OOMPH! but I disagree with the statement that they are more energetic than Rammstein.
