Work on LEGOLAND began at the end of 1998, whilst work on Rock Raiders began in late-1998. I'm not really fond of Rock Raiders as much as Island, but it's pretty good.

@RUSSxT all i still know is that you need to download a file called d3drm.dll just search it on google, download it and install it (watch out for viruses of course) and if that doesnt work you may need to disable the videos too (i needed to do that) but i dont know about how i did that anymore sry

although I do hate the new green scheme of lime green in the new Power Miners sets, I would just combine it with my old Rock raider sets, but il just leave out the green

this is simply the best game that lego ever made and one of my favorite games. i still like to play it, the problem is that he is so old that sometimes he doesnt run on WinXp... thats sad.

Thats one of the best legos that LEGO ever made too ( my opinion ), and the videos!

ohh the videos!!! they're so funny, lego rock raiders are part of my life. I love legos and rock raiders!!!

i think that LEGO should get back to produce this legos and make a version of this game compatible with XP.

and Even though they are making a new theme like rock raiders, I highly doubt theyd make another game like it, their so focused on the tt games(Not saying i dont like them)

There is a new theme coming out in January 2009, called "Power Miners" based off the Rock Raiders :D

It is based on Rock Raiders, but I saw pictures of Power Miners...

It's all GREEN, let's hope that's a prototype!

And I also saw there was alot of technic, I don't want that!! I hope they change the sets, and the minifigs. I want something what really looks like Rock Raiders. I also hope there will be a HQ set, but I didn't saw a picture of that...

Me too, before I saw the pictures I started collecting stuff and bricks to rebuild my Rock Raiders HQ, longer than a year ago I also had a Rock Raider HQ. (I made a movie of it but I didn't put it on YouTube yet, maybe later, IDK) I'm better at making Lego Creations now and this time I'll also make a video of my new Rock Raider HQ. I was very, very disappointed when I saw the Power Miners pictures... Why they don't bring back the real Rock Raiders? Rock Raiders was one of the best themes ever!
