I am a member of Holy Trinity Brompton, where NIcky GUmbels preaches. I can tell you quite honestly that behind the scenes the knives are out. They are such control freaks. People who disagree are punished by being excluded from all social events, and can even be surrounded by bullies and physically removed.

The real church does not have hierarchy - there is no abuse of power - as there is at HTB

@EmploymentPrograms I am surprised to hear that because I have only heard good things about HTB from others. It's very sad to hear that this is your experience. I cannot comment because I am not part of HTB and have nothing to do with them but what I will say is that every church is full of broken people, just like the rest of the world, and please do not judge Jesus by His church, but instead judge him by the claims he made and the things that he did.
