Doesn't look like that there's much x-wind. You can see the windsock in the shot and it looks quite limp. I think the pilot over flew the runway's centreline but very nicely and successfully regained it. Grreat flying!

Kinda hard to maintain the centerline when you're flying into Kai Tak.. There's a reason why Kai Tak isn't in service anymore, and that is because EVERY landing gets set up like that, no matter how the wind is. Because of cramped asian airspace and building restrictions.

It looks like they were landing downwind instead of into the wind. It explains why the pilot had problems centerlining.
