and i advise you that the clutch engine drive shaft should be changed immediately before the front wheel stick breaks and will cause white fish to fall from the sky
i have a '72 autostick tats very similar. its a shame that u wuld change the autostick for a 5- speed when they are so cool and different compared to every other beetle out there. I wuld use a different beetle to upgrade the engine on to avoid all of the torrque converter hassle and u can't add too much horsepower to the torque converter because it won't work properly.
thanks for the advice. im not sure that the autostick is gonna last though. the cars got about 121000 miles on it and thats from when it was a daily driver.
it will run forever, just rebuld engine... i have never heard of a five speed VW,, but i have heard of converting auto sticks to the VW four speed. sound like a nice car though.
