No matter what your views are on Keith Olbermann, MSNBC and their viewpoints, gay marriage or Proposition 8, you have to admire how he can strip away the politics, religion and yelling and give serious comments on an issue and talk about an issue in purely human terms without political or religious jargon. Anyone can watch this video and understand it. I very strongly support full equality across the board regardless of sexual orientation and I very strongly oppose Proposition 8.
@mornmeril I tend to agree. I don't think Keith Olbemann is trying to be theatrical. I think he is just very deeply compassionate, and isn't afraid to show some emotion from time to time. I find it refreshing, in a time when we're made to look foolish for being passionate about the things we truly believe in. This is one of my all-time favorite Special Comments, and it is a very eloquent and moving bit of video.
Thank you! Keith for your special comment tonite on the reversal of Prop. 8. Thank you for speaking up and on behalf of many, if not all, of us out there...out here. I applaud you and all those who fought for and on behalf of Gay Marriage in California.
@ookwormbay7 Sort of - he did add a small amount of commentary (just a few words) to the front and back of this comment. I posted that video as well. In my opinion, although all of Keith Olbermann's Special Comments have been brilliant, this is one of his all-time best.
@MiniRtist oh...well I walked in on my family watching it halfway through the middle so maybe I wasn't paying complete attention. I was actually looking for the one from tonight, so thank you for uploading that too!
@Isabella8466 The judge's name is Walker, not Williams and it still isn't legal to get married in CA. Wishful thinking. I'm from San Francisco, I support it but don't jump the gun.
Amazing. Probably the best i have ever hears on the matter.

@Forummaster2 Very nicely stated. I agree. The man is brilliant, and nowhere does it show more clearly than in this Special Comment.

Gods bless Keith for this. This is the one single episode of his show that I hope he will be remembered for. This ... -this- is human decency.
There is no excuse for supporting prop 8. Those who do are shamed by their actions.

A bit theatrical, but RIGHT YOU ARE, Olbermann!

@BjoernarEricSven Maybe not theatrical. Maybe he was really that emotional.

I'm proud to see an unbiased person give such a logical and beautiful comment. Brought me to tears.

@evilsoxkitty I figured a commentary as good as this deserved to be seen in high quality video. I had one on my computer, so why not?

when keith talked about the repealing of Prop 8, he said that he had nothing new to say from the past year and a half, and then replayed this.
