@jepst41 You're full of misconceptions. Pauls plan isn't to cut anyone off that is dependant on Gov. assistance. The plan is a slow, gradual trend to move us to a point where Gov. assistance is no longer necessary. Getting us out of the pointless wars for profit and closing hundreds of obsolete cold war bases, that we spend hundreds of billions a year RENTING, will SAVE the entitlement programs. Unfortunately, many of Pauls own supporters, don't get that.

@jepst41 I didn't document which videos they were, but I have found a few where Paul says exactly that. If I get time, I may try to figure out which one they were. It's like the Trade issues, going back to a tarriff system, doing away with Federal Income Tax. I think he avoids taliking about that, mostly to avoid Corporate resistance before election. As far as the bases go, 900 bases at an average of 250 million each, per year. multiply it out. almost enough to balance the budget.

@jepst41 Even if it doesn't...it's still a damn good start. I think that 21% is way conservative. But, that's just my opinion. Other than the rent, think of the logistics. All those bases have to be supplied. Just transporting thousands of troops back and forth for leave would have to be extremely expensive. Bases create civilian jobs, wouldn't it be better for us if those jobs were here, rather than Germany, Japan, etc....?
