Turmoil in oil-rich countries is only PART of the story. Prices go up at the pump when 'they' expect us to drive more. Surprise them! Join the "Bike It Or Hike It" campaign (see my video for details). If you don't drive, you don't use fuel. If you don't use fuel, you won't have to buy fuel. Do the math...what kind of ding will 2 days of UNREPLACED losses do? Let's pledge to take our cars (as much as humanly possible) off the roads on April 15th & 16th. This is NOT a useless 1 day boycott
gas prices on the rise because of not enough oil produced in the u.s., i doubt that our latest gusher in the gulf shows we have plenty of oil and i doubt the wells in alaska and texas ar dry.gas prices on the rise because hurricane katrina damaged a single oil well, thats what insurance is for you %&^%& gouge all of the country because one of you oil wells out of? got damaged wtf.And yet our politcians sit back and do Nothing and say Nothing. And now they have made cuts to s.s.i and school. W.T.F
I am tired of all the lying politicians in the u.s not taking up a stand against Big oil i do not want to hear the lies anymore gas prices on the rise because of china their is no shortage of oil because of china. gas prices on the rise because of lybia, we are supposed to only get 1percent of oil from them according to the new s i really doubt we get oil from them at all most of our oil comes from bp.
@FrekeOne You are so right, and truly the problem is no body does anymore. Almost every product sold today is a byproduct of oil. Plastic. If you people care to disagree, take a look around your computer desk while you read this and see how my plastic items are around you, then get up and take a walk around your house. We have become so dependent on it that there is no way to go back and change it. I wish bamboo could solve all of our problems!
@distingquished11 It must be the new Libya gas. How do you feel about speculators and oil companies playing with the price of oil at the expense of the working middle class?
@JCVdude It's not the oil companies playing with the price, its the global market. Remember, the companies that supply the oil, don't set the prices...so you can't blame them. Perhaps the Canadian market should take care of Canada, Libya take care of theirs, saudi's, and US...so on and so forth, but how would that leave the rest of the world? As long as it's a traded commodity, the price is going to fluctuate. Supply is always met, it's a stock market game and nothing else.
We need a government that will release all the surpressed tech. We dont need oil as much as they make us think we do!! Where did all of TESLA's ideas go??? THINK ABOUT IT
@fishcrazy104 I get that, what I don't get is why the oil that was bought and refined months ago, has been delivers to service stations at the old cost, is suddenly tied to Libya now. The oil prices quoted now are for future deliveries, so shouldn't we expect increases in cost as the oil makes it's way through the pipeline?
Dont forget as well that when oil prices drop the price at the pump normally doesnt drop with it for some time, but when it goes up the price at the pump goes up allmost instantly.
@JCVdude Gas is sold at replacement value. So it's about supply and demand... CONSERVE and help reduce demand!! NEW FUEL SOURCES ARE THE ONLY WAY!!! MAKE OIL WORTH NOTHING!!
It was the same price like 3yrs ago. IDK why everyone seems to forget that its going to go up that high again. But the meaning of this video is just.
