@RenegadeC It's more raw and not as compressed. They cleaned it up a lot for the final release. This is far superior to the snes which is what they were going for. I like them both the same.

Ryu knows youre big in the head for "pwning" him last round, He unleashes in insane combo of Hadoukens with Shoryukens chained together with no lag time. You lose miserably...

Then Ryu looks to the screen, pointing at your beaten carcass, and laughs at you mockling.

I've always believed that MegaDrive/Genesis music was better than SNES or whatever. Here, is a prime example. Beats the SNES version hands down.

@ryanhitmanfury It has to do with compression and range. The Genesis had a lower range of sound output to work with thus allowing most of it's games to have a louder more booming sound but due to soundchip limitations it ended up sounding a bit more raw like actual arcade machines on it's launch. The Snes version sounds rushed and nasaly, a symptom of extreme compression.

This version is good when it comes to instrumentation but some parts of the song should be louder and a few parts aren't even in the song!

Even though the Game is the Same, they had COMPLETELY different Play and Feel for me on the Different Consoles (SNES and Megadrive)

Snes Version seemed smoother and more "Homely" type gameplay

Megadrive version was more gritty and Arcadish.

That is just my opinion though.

Totally agree with Renegade, both of you are right in your own way. Ryu's original theme here was amazing, but you have to move on eventually and the Alpha 3 music did that well for certain characters Ryu being one of them among a few other. Same with SF3 3S

yeah Alpha 3 soundtrack though having new themes was pretty good though i can't say that i like SF3 soundtrack, it's not my style making it my least favorite Street Fighter game (also didn't like most of the new characters) but that's my opinion and i know that many people love SF3

I have to agree, Alpha 3's soundtrack just wasn't up to scratch. It was filled with adrenaline, and got you pumped, but it didn't have memorable tunes, which is a shame.

Still, it's good to kick back to this great tune!
