first of all, theres a statute of limitations, so even if tressel was cheating, which all reports show he wasnt, and that many of te allegations against him were false or at the least thrown out due to lack of evidence (except the tattoo tjing obviously), they couldnt strip osu.
and if you think that wasnt pass interference you clearly dont know shit about football, so your opinion really doesnt matter
@chopseh USC was stripped of their 2005 national title,n there are news clips, saying that,OSU might be stripped of their 2002 National Title also because the word is that jim tressel really has been doing something illegal, since he was hired at OSU,Miami really won the title in '02 anyway 24-17 1 OT,and everybody knows that
@lilpaniagua07 You are simply stupid for saying that. It's not possible or plausible to go back ten years and take away a national title. Do some research dumbass. Sorry Ohio State makes your University look like a side alley whore.
I was at this game in the south stands. When Chris came zigzagging down in front of us toward the endzone you would have thought the stands were going to collapse. I remember that moment. My ears were ringing after that game. I still get chills when I see this highlight. Just one in many of our magical season that year in 2002.
Zak Mills was one of the better PSU QBs in recent history - but one of the best of all time? I'd certainly hope not - that's kinda sad if that's the case.
Saying Mills didn't have adequate time in the pocket is one thing.. Making an argument for him being one of PSU's all time best, thats ignorant. Compared to some of his predecessors (Seneca, Thompson, & Casey) he stands out.. But NOT all time.
BlitzinLB, you don't know what you're talking about. Mills was arguably the best QB PSU ever had. He never had any targets to throw the ball too and had several of his targets throughout his years as QB just quit or get kicked off the team. Mills was one of the best players PSU had in its history. That was a very ignorant statement.
Im a Buckeye fan and Mills was a bum no way he was one of the best psu qb of a time. Collins was better Clark is better Mills isnt even in the same league as Krenzel
Brent Musberger, why would you ever make a reference to any Michigan player, let alone a heisman winning Michigan player...and one who destroyed Ohio State to win his trophy...at Ohio Stadium...in the National Championship season.
Zack Mills was all or nothing against the Buckeyes. Either he was great or he was awful, no in-between. In this case he was just in the way of destiny. It was just meant to be for the Bucks in 2002.
Mills had no choice most of the time. He had to play perfect every game. Does anyone remember how bad the O_Line ws back then? They commend Joe Paterno for modernizing and everything? The reason why he put the option in, went shotgun, etc. was to save Mills's ass from being on the ground so much. Mills' career was ended because of the O-Line. He had to have been hit every single play (more like 80%) in his career.
I love how you watch buckeyes highlights... wait... a highlight that your team isn't even in!!! haha! your so jealous of how shitty your team has been the last decade you gotta watch highlights of teams that are actually good just so you can remember what it is
Chris Gamble, the wannabe Charles Woodson but was never close to as good as Chuck, did Gamble ever win a heisman trophy? nope dont think so, Chris Gamble = Wannabe Chuck Woodson
Sure he loses when you are comparing teams, even though I thought Michigan got screwed, thanks phil fulmer. Anyway when you compare the player Woodson is much better, and did anyone see Gamble get trucked by Ahmad Bradshaw?
u can't say that, u can't compare individual players by using championships because a championship is a TEAM accomplishment. That's like saying Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino.
Bottom line Charles Woodson was better in college than Chris Gamble and he's better than Gamble is now. But Gamble is still a very good player
Look up how many plays Chris Gamble played in the 2002 National Championship against then a juggernaut Miami team who had won 31 in a row and with big names in the Pro's such as Jonathan Vilma, Sean Taylor, Kellen Winslow. He played all but like 10 plays the entire game.. Will and Heart are often better than Talent and Arrogance.
@marcrib79 that may be true that winning championships is a team accomplishment but it's also considered the ultimate personal accomplishment as well. It matters on a hall of fame resume. Numbers don't settle all debates
but in this debate the numbers do settle it... Chris Gamble and Charles have both won Championships in college and neither has won a super bowl... If u go by just watching them then it's a done deal that Woodson is the FAR superior player
@marcrib79 ok true plus woodson has the heisman to back up his college resume but you was saying making a trent dilfer/marino comparision. Nfl championships are different then college cuz pros have they whole 10+ year career to get a ring while in college most players have less then 4 years to get it done. More of a team game in NCAA and using that ring arguement as a way of saying someone is better is easier in college cuz it's harder to get
I was using that Dilfer/Marino thing as an example... anyone who actually believes that Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino knows little to nothing about the game
@marcrib79 i've been agreeing with you the whole time, just i don't think you should be comparing college to pros cuz it's Sooo different... why you think some players make the HOF in college but not the pros or vice versa. but when you compare pro to pro (montana/marino) it's easy to hate on marinos number vs montana, stahbach, bradshaw, elway or brady etc cuz they got multiple rings.
I realize that but I just believe that you can't say someone is better just because they happened to be on a better team during their career. Some of the greatest players of all time never even get a chance to win a championship and it's not their fault nor is it fair for people to criticize them because they never won
@marcrib79 well, like a great herm edwards said... "you play to win the game, HELLO, you don't just play to play." When you don't win championships then your not in anyones discussion of greatest players. a week 17 win is far less important then a super bowl win so why should we not give props to them . winning a champioship is a big deal... only one team accomplishes that per year so it is rare to happen therfore it's fair to rate players career by it.
I don't think so, a team has to win it all... if a great player isn't surrounded with other players to compliment their talents then how can they be ridiculed for not winning a championship
@marcrib79 you don't get it do you... you take away or debate a championship from player. He has that forever no matter what happens in his career but when you don't win one it leaves a lot of questions and doubts about how good he really was. All the great ones win championships and that's a fact. Stop feeling sorry for the marinos, barkleys and bonds of the world.
I don't feel bad for them because they were some of the best ever and obviously the HOF voters agree with me... I'm just saying that anybody can be put in the right situation at the right time. I like Robert Horry and I think he was a decent player but I won't say he was better than Karl Malone or Charles Barkley just because he as 7 and they have a combined 0... plus they had to deal with Jordan who happened to be playing baseball when Horry won his first 2 rings...
Hey idiot my nigga Gamble made more big plays than Woodson made. He single handedly had 3 game saving int. and this pick 6 to win the game all in one season.
I couldnt hear my buddy sittting next to me that day. I've been to alot of football games at the Shoe but that was by far the loudest I have ever heard it.
Ohio State sucks? LOL. When is the last time UM beat Ohio State? You'd have to go all the way back to 2003. Five years in a row now we've beaten you guys. It'll be 6 years this year when we embarrass you again!!

A memorable play by Chris Gamble during his days with the Ohio State Buckeyes. Hey, Chris, as a member of the Panther Nation, I just want to wish you all the best of luck Sunday at San Diego.
2002 defense count the nfl players: Will Smith, Darrian Scott, Tim Anderson, Kenny Peterson, Simon Fraser; Matt Wilheim, Robert Reynolds, Chris Gamble; Will Allen; A.J. Hawk, Bobby Carpenter; Donnie Nickey; Mike Doss; I know a few of the guys have been cut recently but all of them stayed on a nfl roster for at least two years.
This was INDEED the loudest the 'Shoe has ever been. Sat in Block O for this game, and this video does not do the explosive cheer for this play justice.
happy to say this was the first buckeye game i ever went to. my dad and my uncle were actually on the sideline for this game (my uncle works for a newspaper in columbus) and he said it was the loudest game he has ever been to. the toss gamble throws at the end of the play actually landed on my uncles feet. anyone who dosent believe me, ive got pictures. the criminal also had a run in this game where he busted his arm up, the crowd got pretty loud, anyone see that video on youtube at all? O-H!
probably the best play i've seen in person at the Shoe. definitely loud as well, although i thought the loudest game i've been to was vs. PUR in '03. sat in A deck, the closed end. seemed like crowd forced them to throw a pick/fumble six for mike kudla.

that's because in the Michigan game you never had to come from behind after the first quarter. this was a much more desperate scenario (not as big a game, of course) while being down 7-3, and trailing texas. desperacy = crowd noise
