I did fill this in Nebraska. Near South Bend. My inlaws have a lake house near there. Lincoln, my town, is about a half hour away.

Before this year's flooding, the Mississippi River (near St. Louis) looked a lot like the Platte. There were areas where you could see nothing but dry riverbed.
Yes. There's so much that has to be done.

The rivers are so overly managed that the slightest change in rain levels drastically effects the ecology. Let the rivers flow.
