Though the river bump is unique, this doesn't look like a very good venue for wrestling. It looks so open outdoors. Anyone could easily watch through binoculars - or worse, walk up and watch without a ticket. Unlike outdoor stadiums/arenas, there probably weren't many resources for protecting the wrestlers against pest either.

Terry Funk is the one who broke Stan into pro-wrestling business, trained him, and made him debut in Amarillo, TX. Both of them are from the football team of WTSU. In early 80's in AJPW they had the gratest fueds that Japanese pro-wrestling has ever seen. Psychology, guts, pride were included in every one of their fueds.

Some clarification on this event. The promoter behind it was the infamous Dennis Carluzzo(RIP), who was at the time the head of the NWA. The event was held at the Cooper River Park, in Pennsauken, NJ.
