Not after when the banks filed for bankruptcy. Games now changed since 2007. I'm glad I don't get those advertisements in the mail after my bankruptcy anymore. I'm pash about cash! The banks screwed me over once with fees....as the Raven said...NEVERMORE!
If your credit sucks like mine did I used a company called Credit Repair Magic to repair my credit and saw results within just days. The main thing that I was able to do with this program was to dispute negative entries on my credit report, which drove my score up as these were deleted. Since most companies cant verify the info on the credit reports, I was able to make my credit score rise dramatically with just a few clicks of the mouse. Click on my channel mycreditrepairmagic for details.
i havent filed for BK, Ive lost my house, and now all my credit cards companies are treating me like the worst of the worst(18yrs w/out a single cc late payment)and doest stop there...i have a credit card for 40k, last week they drop me to 2k?...pretty much is like startin all over
If you would of known; would you max out all your credit cards? ...as in using it to pay your mortgage and other needs (for your family) until you are at the end of your ropes...then let your house forclose? I've heard of people whose mentality is like: "if its gona go south; why not go south with some style" as in maxing it all. Screw them before they screw you...?
about the same as paying through a consumer credit agency, or paying collections. The only difference? You're not paying ALL that $ out every month, just to look as bad as a credit risk, because finance companies now go by your "debt to income ratio". but yes, whether you file or not, tear up and cancel your credit cards. All you're doing is bailing them out even more every month you pay into it. Go w/ credit unions--your $ stays local, have free shared branching nationwide, and are non-profit.
