Hi, been looking thru the heaphy videos and as said above,by far the best compiled one so far. Hoping to come(from Scotland) next year to do it.Would prefer to do it in early or late summer(avoid the heat). Are there historically better months weatherwise i should consider doing?
@MrSilverbirch Thanks for the comment. I'm no authority on best seasons, but I would say that late spring (November) was a good month to trek generally in NZ South Island as there is still snow on the mountain caps and temp not too bad for trekking. Also I'd advise keeping your trek schedule flexible and starting the trips when you see a good break in the weather. Enjoy your trip
Shame you didn't have a fire below the waterline on the beach. It was great sitting there looking up as the satellites went past with all the stars twinkling.
Ha haa ... thanks for the comment. Still very much amateur status, but trying to showcase some of the world's interesting travels in a way that is also useful for others considering similar trips. Have a look at my new web site multicolouredplanetDOTcom which has a lot more NZ travels on it.

The best (amateur?) video I have seen on anything on YT. Really excellent job! I assume you have experience in film/tv/video editing?
