I have watched animated and it has pretty decent storylines (tough somewhat childish)

but man I hate the animation it looks like flash or something.

I wish TF was given a bit more mature treatment

It's Transformers and it's not like the Unicron three-pack or Beast Machines/RiD. It's good.

I've seen it. It's directed at a young audience, so I don't believe older fans would get as much out of it. Sure it has a bunch of homage to G1 characterwise but the childish storylines (often using really anticlimatic or less realistic solutions to various challenges) make it less enjoyable. Here a ragtag team of underpowered Autobots are regularly trounced by human criminals and other little things that Autobots from other storylines would have handled easily.

That means more large scale challenges are present in the other series. In Cybertron the Autobots are moving Jungle Planet back into orbit, crossing dimensions, and of course the Optimus Prime vs Galvatron final battles are always epic. The involvement of Unicron in Armada/Energon also adds to the excitement. But I think the makers of Animated went out of their way to make things easy for younger audiences to understand. The only reason I watch it is because it's the only series on now.

Yes, but that's anime. This is an American cartoon for smaller kids. It's not supposed to be big. They have said no Unicron and that's one of the biggest things to happen.

just because it doesnt have a unicron doesnt mean it's not gonna be big. writing will always be an important part, and animated has some of the best writers since beast wars. how does the inclusion of a planet eating bug gonna make any difffrence? look at armada, the quality of it was so terrible, it never really got out of its bad start.

Exactly. But not just because of Unicron. But because of the plot. It was hard to take after Beast Wars. But TransTech would have been cool.

I think RID was better than Transtech ever would've been. The problem with Transtech is the new character designs and the new factions. You wouldn't have a Super Fire Truck Optimus Prime, you would have a futuristic Optimus that transforms into a hovercar. You wouldn't have Autobots and Predacons, you would just have the Cybertronian High Senate and the Cybertronian High Command.

Actually, we don't know what we'd have. Transtech was absorbed into the comics and a different reality altogether. So the whole thing is a dead end.

I'd never watch Galaxy force becuase Cybertron is out but i like the themes, this theme has all of my fvaourite charecters from Cybertron except for Soundwave and Menasor.

I like Cybertron/Galaxy force, 3rd best series ever.

the creator originally didn't want to make starscream an asshole character (in fact; on his stats he scored 8 on courage), but ones it got to the States, the voice made him annoying. Knowing that people here aren't gonna change the way they make him sound they started to make him more robust in Armada and Cybertron.
