I'm a Rose/Doctor fan, a Bad Wolf, the valiant Rose fan. Billie is my girl but... I admit that I hated Martha at first she was there and the one the Doctor had fallen in love with wasn't. But she grew up to be this hero I adored - nearly killed my laptop when she kissed jack on tw but anyway- They are all special in their own ways. Rose was the impossible lover, Donna was the best friend, Martha was THE companion.

And sorry guys, Amy is the mother in law :P

Rose wasn't the impossible lover; They could have been lovers; but after he found her again he gave Rose a living copy of himself instead of a choice; Will never think that was fair to Rose or the Human Doctor. I adored Martha. Hope she guess stars, would love to see Martha the Doctor and Rory the nurse act as a team.

I'll hold my hands up, Martha wasn't my fav companion. But that isn't saying muc. I LOVED her charcter and series 3 s my fav season bu I just likesome of the other companions a bit more. Buti do think the sun has far from set upon martha Jones' characte. SHe still has lt of potential and I wouldn't indsome novels or audio stories withhe and Noel Clark as Mickey Smith

She was kind, caring, empathetic and she helped the Doctor when he needed her most. She even saved his life more than he saved hers! Tennant says in the confidentials how she saved his life time and time again. Martha was the Doctor's Doctor! She was an amazing companion and still is an amazing actress.

Freema made Martha the best of the 9-10 companions. Educated, practical, no nonsense, could take Jack's flirting yet politely put him off, and when she fell in love with Doc she had the good sense to get over it and found someone proper and came out a doctor herself. She's such a well-rounded character.

Rose hinged her life on Doc, and Donna had a destiny she couldn't avoid. Martha was simply Martha, along for the ride, always capable of holding her own with or without Doc. I love her to bits.

Freema was a much big improvement towards Rose. She was strong and sexy and she had alot of great moments in every episode of Who! Alot of my piers watch Who for Martha! Rose Tyler helped reintroduce Who in 05 but with new and cooler companion. All the fan worship of Rose Tyler fans died out slowly for newer companions. Even though it was decided to keep the show going with companions come and go Martha should have had a bit of a longer stay as a companion. Love You Freema!

Martha is really great, because she is probably the most feministic of the companions. Although Rose was the romantic and Donna was the comedian, Martha was intelligent and practical and still compassionate.
