  • Isn't it GREAT that RepubliCONs are IRRELEVANT in Government today?

GOP followers NOW have sore chins for nothing due to excessive "tea-bagging" over the last several months.

  • And just because it amuses me, and yes, I know he's a fictional character, who exactly did Robin Hood rob from?

  • You do understand the difference between heath care and a health care system, right?

  • There isn't enough wealth for everything the left wants to do. There simply isn't. That doesn't even get into the fact that when you increase the tax rates you decrease money going to the Federal coffers. Not to mention the affect it has on investments into companies that employ, directly and indirectly, a great number of the working class in this country. It gets back to incentive. When you lesser the return on investment, you have less investment.

  • Taken in context, your statistics lose a great deal of impact. Which is why the context is never included. As for your list, I said effectively and efficiently, I also limited it to the Federal govt. Most (if not every) examples on that list don't even pass the giggle test in terms of effectiveness and efficiency and several of them are not even Federal.

  • When there is lesser and lesser return on investment, there is lesser and lesser desire to invest in the development of new products. In this case, pharmaceuticals and other health-related advancements.

"Cadillac" insurance plans are mostly held by union workers. Last time I checked, they were considered blue collar middle class. Which is why Sen. Reid is scrambling over them. The Democrats are getting caught between the groups they pander to.

  • Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. The proponents of single payer have publicly acknowledged that this so called "public option" is a stepping stone to get the single payer system they want.

Have you ever signed the front of a paycheck? How 'bout the back? Do you understand that private business entities who have to deal with a budget cannot stand against a public entity that doesn't have to worry about either?

  • Define "too badly". Define "much rationing". And spare me this populist "eat the rich" jazz. There isn't enough wealth in those evil rich people to pay for everything the "Robin Hoods"* claim it will, they're already exempted large portions of the population from paying any taxes which leaves the middle class.

*Hood didn't "rob from the rich and give to the poor", he robbed from the tax collectors and gave it back to the taxpayers.

  • We do have the best health care in the world. That doesn't mean it doesn't need improvement. You chastise me for seeing things in black and white, then engage in the very same thing.

Name me the things the Federal govt does effectively and efficiently.

  • But your assuming and the Federal government, a body that can't do anything efficiently or effectively, will make a system that needs improvement, no one denies that, better. They don't make anything better.

Also, you're forgetting that in those other nations, people are losing half of their income to fund it, there are long waits and rationing bodies decided what health care you can have, and they're relying on non-socialized nations (read: the US) to fund and develop necessary innovations.

  • Not all rich folks are opposed to this bill. I know several rich folks who support it. CAO was not making deals behind the scenes but we know how you republicans like to attack your own if they step out of line so it is no surprise that you are dirt digging on CAO.

  • Uhm, yeah, 'cause the Democrats never attack their own if they step out of line. I love how hacks from both sides never think their side engages in the shenanigans they're accusing the other side of engaging in.

  • There are democrats right now that have stepped out of line so to speak.. How are they being attacked by the democrat party for doing so? I haven't seen it.. not to the degree that snowe and now Cao have been attacked.

  • I guess your don't recall the DNC turning on Sen. Lieberman because he didn't shift his position on the war when the Democrats decided it was politically advantageous to do so and backed his primary candidate? And that's but one example.

Both parties "eat their own" and engage in unsavory tactics. Only a partisan hack or the willfully blind claim otherwise.

  • I guess I don't because I am talking about current events not the past. After all this is where we are now. I have never said that the dems don't do there share I am simply saying that the republicans are by far the more insane of the two parties.

  • The past? It was a couple years ago. It's not about either party. It's about willfully blind hacks more than happy to point out the flaws of the other side while blissfully ignoring the flaws of their own. Apparently, the shoe fits. Feel free to wear it.

  • And yet here you are pointing out mine as if you have none of your own. LOL I am quite certain you are not perfect in any aspect so what give you the right to judge anyone. I was not interested in politics until recently so I don't dwell on the past. I see things for what they are now.

  • You can't have the present without the past. Things happened before you got interested in politics. Hell, before you were born. Without historical context you are building your proverbial house, or in this case, your political stance, on sand.

  • Hell, I didn't even need to bring up Sen. Lieberman. All I needed to do was go to your YT page:

"These are the 23 anti-choice conserva-dem DINOs who voted for the ridiculously stupid anti-choice stupak amendment, and then voted against the overall healthcare bill: Call thenm and tell then to shove it!"

Note that I am not saying you, or anyone else, shouldn't express your opinion and/or put pressure on elected officials.

  • I do think it is important to keep the pressure on these folks if we want things to happen. I have no problem calling out those on both sides of the aisle when they are screwing us over which is more than obvious to anyone who visits my profile. LOL So save the whole you only pick on republicans speech for someone else.

  • I said I have no problem with you, or anyone else, expressing their opinions or pressuring the government. Judging by your page, as well as the posts here, my point stands. You are accusing one side of engaging in behavior that you refuse to see going on on your side. Behavior that both sides engage in. Behavior that you, yourself, are engaging in.

  • Have you signed the petition regarding chairmanships yet? If not please take a moment to do so as it is very important that we keep the pressure on the senate. I have the link to it in my comment section. Thanks.

  • "Congress has been trying to improve health care for decades"

--You mean they've been trying to acquire more control over the American People, regardless of what the Constitution says.

  • Your assumption is that this would be an improvement to the health care system, and you know what happens when you assume.

  • Ann Coulter is amazing!

  • It won't pass, simple as that, too many blue dogs doing their jobs and thinking for their nation rather than themselves.

  • Obama/Soetoro will suffer his first DEFEAT!!
