I don't think the sparkler is any different, he puts tape around it so the water doesn't soke into the sparkler. since the spakler produces its own oxygen as it burns, there is no need for an outside soarce, so it can burn under water.
lmao an oxidiser ALREADY has oxygen. The only reason things don't burn is lack of oxygen. Oxygen doesn't "burn" but rather "reacts" with the chemical.
so, if I take a sparkler, wrap tape around it like that, light the end and stick it in water it'll do that? any specifics on the water(distilled, tap, soft/hard)?
Need just a bit more tape....

is it only german sparklers that burn under water or do all???
aidaja 2 years ago
I think all because they have magnesium in them.
dragonridley 2 years ago
No it's because they have an oxygen source in them which is the oxidiser, that way the water doesn't affect them.

so its a oxidizer fuel mix that doesnt use oxygen someone explain to the retard "me" in stupid form.
trefliptofeeble 4 years ago
The oxidizer provides the Oxygen needed for the sparklers to burn, and the plastic tape prevents water from extinguishing the reaction.

you need to take 5 or 6 sparklers to make it work.

It wouldent make a differnce dumbfuck

Wonderful demonstration of how a oxidizer fuel mix often does not require oxygen to react.
