lol, so I don't get it, you get a Playseat, and a G25 (I'm assuming it's so you can have a more realistic experience, and be more immersed), and then you play with the above car cam...lol, just never makes sense to me when I see people do this.
@CoMMenDaToR When you say configure do you mean adjust the settings? If so, I think there is Wheel options in the options menu of Dirt 2 ;) But I keep it all on the default settings (apart from changing automatic to manual sequential).
Let me know if you need any other help with the G25 or Dirt 2 ;)
@CoMMenDaToR Hmm, I havn't been on mine for a while now so I can't remember if I had to set anything iside dirt to use the wheel, but I don't think i did.
Just make sure that no controllers are connected when you plug in the wheel, this should make it register as controller/player 1. When you plug it in it should calibrate and it should also do this when you launch a game.
Let me know if this solves it and I am sorry I can't be of more help to you ;)
£100+ sounds about right I'm afraid. But you could always try eBay is you want it cheaper. But for either price its worth it compared to cheaper wheels ;)
Nah, dont use the E-Brake, and dont use any sort of brakes. Use the gears to slow your car down and kick the car into a drift. For tight corners, in high speed & high gear, setup the corner by slamming down to 1st gear and release the accelerator whilst starting a turn. But don't let the speed drop too low (you can guess) and raise straight up to 2nd gear to keep the speed up throughout the turn. Constantly power through but don't torque or no grip - get a feeling. Trust me on this!
The wheel on a whole is amazing, probably one of the best you can get. The stick shift is alright. Its very easy to change gear (which can be a good or bad thing, depends what you prefer) and it does make a clicking noise also. But there are mods to get rid of these problems which involve taking apart the gear stick.
An alternative (if you can afford it) is the new G27 which is the improved version of the G25.
But if you are looking for a steering wheel I would highly recommend the g25 ;)
at the begging was that the bioshock intro??

Why would you use third person camera when using a wheel? Doesnt make any sense.

@mupp33n lol, yeah I just made pretty much the same comment, doesn't make any sense to me.

Not bad...how about playing in cockpit view so its challenging? Who buys a Playseat and a G25 to play racing games in third person lol
LAwrx03 2 years ago 10
Yeah well I only do it in 3rd person in Dirt 2 cos in cockpit view it seems to ubstruct too much of the screen, but I do do it in GT5P ;)
Revilo118 2 years ago
I hear ya... in cockpit view is SWEET with a controller. When I'm using my G25 I go with the hood/bonnet view... u should try it.
Sick skills btw!
oh yeah, what settings do u use on ur G25?

That corner where you used the flashback you went through it way too slow, hit the E-Brake and slide a bit, its helps alot.

Nice one! If you have a PS3 I would definitely recommend getting GT5P and then GT5 when it comes out, they are great to use with the shifter ;)
